Refurbishment in Calle Puertas de Murcia, Cartagena, Spain
Project win: Inully has been officially appointed as architect and interior designer for a refurbishment job in a 20th Century building under conservation in Cartagena, Spain. Updates very soon!
The project is set in a low density residential neighbourhood in the northern part of Singapore. Having a narrow frontage and deep spaces like many terraced house developments sandwiched between two party walls, the insertion of a light well down the middle of the house helps to bring natural light to the core of the dwelling, at the same time works as a ventilation device well suited for a tropical climate. The new development adds an attic floor above the first two storeys where the master bedroom is encased by the roof form. The material palette used is minimal, focusing on the sequencing of spaces and volumes created by the central light well.
This network of mountain shelters in Sierra Nevada was an exercise of expertise in new technologies, materials, and construction processes.
