We are the first centre of resource for all in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who are affected by sight loss, whatever their age, circumstance or condition. We care passionately about helping anyone living with a visual impairment and have done ever since our foundation in 1856when the charity first supported Cornish miners.

Today we aim to support everyone in Cornwall with sight loss of all ages, to lead active and independent lives. We understand the complexities and life-changing nature of sight loss and the range of essential equipment available, not forgetting that sometimes even the smallest things can make a world a difference.
