Even more so when you’re a Rohingya refugee child at a camp just outside Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where temperatures today were a mere 29C and humidity at 91%! This youngster is among 250 students aged 3-11 who attend our school which was set up just before Ramadan as part of our work for Rohingya refugees. They’re taught English and their mother tongue – Arkan – by 3 teachers and attend classes between 10am and 3pm from Sunday to Thursday. We also provide them with a light nutritional meal daily, a school uniform, a bag, exercise books and stationery. Oh yes, and water!
