Istanbul Delight

I just orderd chichen doner and chips plus chease and i recived doner meat and chips....oky...fair mistake...they are very polite and send me chichen doner but without chese...i call back and they are very angry with me saying i didn't order any chease bit my firat order the lamb doner had chease amd i tell them that...adnd then he hangs up....this is a very respectable way to threat your customers.. tnx

Long time favourite kebab place! Yummy foods with good portions and friendly service.

I have been eating their kebab since 2005 and never been disappointed, always great and always with extra sauces. Mehmed and main guy behind counter Metin are always welcoming people. Yes, their are constantly staff rotating team, but as usual client I can see that they job are clearly stressful and it's obvious that it does effect on customer service at some point. Nevertheless, it never had single effect to their food quality.

ordered for home delivery - when arrived the order was wrong phoned Istanbul delight (or not) was greeted by a rude person no apology and who wanted to argue he was right and we ordered wrong food surprise, surprise then put the phone down on us. Service was clearly shocking today 24/12/2016 we have used them for many years in the past BUT wont in the future if this is the way they now look after their customers. LOST CUSTOMER

The chips were overly cooked almost burnt and just TBH unpleasant. Chicken was dry and way to salty. Honestly, it's like they can't be bothered. The 5 star ratings are old and when you've just finished work you can taste the crapness of the food. Basically, only eat here when drunk. Second time I've been disappointed by them in the last 2 months. 😔

If I could give less than 1 star I would.

10-15 years ago this used to be THE kebab shop to go to in Colchester.
Now, it's just a cheap knock off of its former self.

The food is mediocre, at best, and the staff are nowhere near the calibre they used to be.

Quite simply, I would rather go down on my mum than eat at this establishment.

Well sometimes I can say this is the best place around as the kebabs are juicy and have a perfect taste but the other 50% of the time they are dry horrible and hard on the edges also I have had funny looks from the staff but it's ok
