Hello folks! We spent the last three months welcoming guests and travelling to meet other operators to tell them how beautiful it is where we are. Because it really is beautiful, don't you agree? :)

Our people, guests, landscapes, traditions. In a word, Happiness :)

So here goes part 5 of 5. What a tour it was! And not just for Heidi, Joe and Izzy, but for us too! Each time we take someone to discover our people and places, for us it's like seeing them with different eyes, and it's always an absolute pleasure :)

Part 4/5 of Heidi H. Schussman's trip: more wine, a cooking lesson, some village life and Montecassino! It was real fun to show them how history and wine making can get together at a special site, watch and help them learn how to turn flour and water into delicious food, and also lead them through the discovery of a 1500 years old abbey with a complicated but glorious past!

Hello all! This is an event that took place in Casalvieri, in the beautiful Melfa Gorge. It was an easy 1.5h walk, partly with the feet in the water :) These are the people you meet in our activities, they are fun, knowledgeable and very rock'n'roll :D http://www.italyindeed.it/…/t…/one-da y-visits-and-activities

Third leg of Heidi H. Schussman's trip to Ciociaria and Valle di Comino :) And by leg, I mean actual stops, as this post tells about the end of day 1 and the morning of day 2... we drove her around for more than 700km in 3 days, poor her! She thought she was on holiday but we gave her no rest and showed her things and introduced her to people as if there was no tomorrow :D More posts to come! https://dashingboldadventure.blogspot.com /…/southern-lazio-…
And by the way, no, it's not Tuscany in the photo,it's Southern Lazio ;)
Special thanks to Stefano Gaetani and Compagnia Dei Viandanti, Cominium azienda vitivinicola, Rete VisitAlvito, Smile Pub

We posted this same video last year. It still gives us the goose bumps 😊 Even more so now that we're about to join this year's "transumanza" - in English transhumance, the transfer of the flocks and herds to the mountain grazing land, about 1300 metres up, to be reached in 13km on foot and to be done at night, when it's cool enough for the animals to walk.
It's a transfer shepherds have been doing forever because they care about the animals' welfare. The land is greener up t...here, the air is fresher, and the sheep, goats and cows don't have to suffer in the heat. So at night you walk up on the fields and in the woods to take them to a cooler place. Our grandparents were shepherd and did this every year, up the mountain in early June, down the mountain in mid to late September. It was about time we did it too, a much needed reconnection to our most authentic and dearest roots.
Thank you Maria Pia, Agricola San Maurizio, Rise Hub and Compagnia Dei Viandanti for organizing it. You're very special people who make us proud <3

When you're busy planning tours, making sure guests have a great time and vetting accommodations, restaurants, sites and tour guides, you forget about using the tools at hand to let other people know how much you care... Thankfully, sometimes you're reminded of that! Wondering what it means to travel with ItalyIndeed? Take a look at what our wonderful guests wrote :) http://www.italyindeed.it/index.php/guest book#comment-22
