Diane Faulkner Registered MBACP and Yvonne Canning Registered MBACP set up Ivy Counselling as an affordable and accessible service to many.

If you feel stuck with a problem, trapped in a cycle of destructive behaviour that is impacting on your life and preventing you from moving forward, feel isolated and alone then please don't despair we can assure you, you are not alone and there are many people experiencing similar feelings to yourself.

We appreciate counselling is not for everyone so we offer you a FREE 30 minute consultation. This time gives you an opportunity to share as much or as little as you want and at the end of this you can either go away and think about whether counselling is for you or you can go ahead there and then and book your 1st counselling session.

So what can we offer you?
A safe confidential space in a warm, quiet and relaxing environment. An opportunity for you to be heard without the fear of being judged, belittled or criticised. We will respect and accept you just as you are. We won't tell you what to do or how to do it; instead we aim to create a therapeutic trusting relationship so that you feel at ease and able to share whatever is impacting on your life. More importantly we work at your pace.

Yvonne and Diane are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

We are also CRB Enhanced checked.

We chose our location as we are able to offer flexible consulting hours, it is easily accessible. There is 2 Hours FREE parking. Disabled Access and a lift available.

We acknowledge you may be lucky enough to be referred by your GP for counselling and then you find yourself waiting for quite a while to be seen!

From your initial contact with us we aim to offer you, your FREE 30 minute consultation with 48 hours.

If your family income is £20. 000 or less then a counselling session will cost you £15 and £30 if more. We do not receive any funding to supplement our fees so we believe at these prices we are offering a service that is affordable to many.
