Superb b&b, welcoming and well appointed. Dog friendly with private parking. The breakfasts are worth coming for.

I have stayed in Hawkshead numerous times over the years & I can honestly say that my Ivy Guest House was the best stay ever, plus there is on site Parking which is a highly sort asset in Hawkshead.
From the moment you arrive you receive a genuine warm welcome from Darren, the entrance area has that real home feeling especially with the curved staircase leading up to my room 3 situated at the centre front with lovely views. The bedroom & en-suite were extremely well presented, spotless, with tea/coffee, etc, lovely toiletries, soft towels TV, spacious wardrobe etc.
Bed extremely comfy, breakfast pre-ordered + various times to suit each guest, and a tasty full Breakfast + cereals , juices & beverages
I will be certainly be staying there again maybe spring next year. Ann 2/10/17
Lovely and cosy traditional guest house located less than 100 meters from the village center. Run by friendly and knowledgeable staff
The couple running the Ivy are lovely, the room was lovely and warm with a nice big bath to relax in after a long walk. Breakfast was brilliant and there's a coop just round the corner along with 4 pubs serving lovely food.
