Community Spirit.
I think that we all know someone that’s been affected by cancer or breast cancer.
The staff that treat those affected by this terrible disease really deserve so much more. ... Having had a family member suffer with breast cancer, I was really angered to learn that the Mobile Breast Screening Vehicle based in Leonards Road Car Park operated by Derriford Hospital was recently vandalised in Ivybridge by some brainless individual.
Sadly this not only impacts the operation of the vehicle but causes the service to not run, having heard that the staff were going to have to fundraise to pay for the damage I felt what could be done.
I’ve spent a few hours removing the graffiti and making good the damaged caused. Sadly the vehicle will now not be using Ivybridge again and a valuable community asset lost.
I hope the mindless person or persons that did this feel proud. However it’s looking as good as new and thank you to the ladies that provide the care.

We are very sorry but we have had to close the shop due to us springing a leak or two.
Currently drying out the damaged area and repairing the damage, we aim to be open later this week with a limited service with the upstairs possibly closed off.
... Thank you to some of our loyal customers for lending all hands and buckets to the leak. Electrics and heating and water going back on by Friday.
