J. L. King Medical Services

We provide non-profit first aid cover for local events, staffed by a team of volunteers. We also run HSE approved first aid courses.

J L King is a medical organisation, founded in 2014, providing both medical

services and training throughout Leicestershire and Rutland. We provide cost-
price first aid for local events and also offer high quality health and safety

courses in a variety of areas of first aid and emergency care.

Our organisation is split into two largely independent sectors; our commercial

training sector, and our not-for-profit events cover.

Our training sector is operated under the supervision of fully qualified first

aid trainers. All of our trainers are members of the Association of First Aiders

(AoFA), approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), as well as

holding level 3 certificates in Education and Learning.

Many of our competitors are not so widely accredited and experienced.

However, we pride ourselves on quality assurance, boasting cumulative

decades of experience across our leadership team. To ensure this high level

of quality, we offer our accredited training courses under the supervision of a

registered HCP (Health Care Professions) paramedic.

Those who successfully complete our training courses will be awarded with

a certificate lasting 3 years. They will also be registered with the AoFA,

providing insurance over this time period; a service which many of our

competitors do not offer. Those choosing to train under J L King will receive

not only proof of competence, but confidence and protection.

Our events sector is not-for-profit. This means that we only charge to cover

costs of equipment and necessities, making us significantly cheaper than our

competitors. Our experienced volunteers are regularly trained and assessed

to ensure the best possible service FOR YOU. Our first aiders, advanced first

aiders, and ambulance operators are trained by qualified instructors who are

assessed by a paramedic to guarantee safety and quality.

We provide our service to best suit an event’s needs, offering additional

equipment and non-first aid volunteers where required. Our additional

equipment includes items such as medical gases, basic drugs and advanced

intervention skills.
