J Mato & Son Ltd is a family run butcher shop that has been in business since 1979. The business was set up by Julio Mato and was originally based on Salisbury Street until 1989 when they moved to West Street due to outgrowing the premises. The business is now run by Simon Mato who has been expanding it ever since his father retired in 2005.

We have scored 5 on the Hygiene Rating from the very start of the scheme.

We are also a Food Standard Agency approved cutting plant.
