Musical powerhouse Sir Tim Rice will spill a few gems over supper looking back on a remarkable career. Teamed with Andrew Lloyd-Webber from the mid-sixties, for more than a decade they dominated the West End stage, first with Jesus Christ Superstar and, later, Evita. His awards cabinet is a cleaner’s nightmare, stacked as it is with three Oscars, four Tonys, five Grammys and 13 Ivor Novellos!

** Patricia Hodge ** Monday, 28 January
Patricia Hodge trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and in a long and varied career picked up numerous awards including an Olivier award in 2000. She memorably played power roles as Betty Maxwell in Maxwell, Margaret Thatcher in The Falklands Play, and Ursula Thorpe in A Very English Scandal. She also found legions of new fans appearing in the hit BBC comedy, Miranda. Films include Sunset, The Elephant Man, Betrayal and Surviving Christmas.

Went to the guest chef night with @marksargey10. The food was excellent. I love taramasalata and Mark's was the best with seaweed crackers. Softest scallops, beautiful anchove with tomato salad and a meaty sea bass. We will definately be returning to try their regular menu, and going to Sargeant's Mess when it opens to sample more of Sarge's delicious food. Highly recommended especially if you are going to one of the local theatres as it so close.

This place is amazing, the staff can’t do enough for you from the moment you walk in the door, it’s worth the trip from north wales!

The food ,staff and atmosphere were just great we had a lovely time,sitting at the bar, all the staff were very welcoming and helpful . And yes the grilled fish platter to share was huge. Go frozen berries and hot chocolate sauce !!

Super meal, good staff who we could have a giggle with, especially the Maitre D'! A very sociable place to eat for a special occasion. My one drawback back, the use of plastic straws for the cocktails. There is no need any longer for any single use plastic item like that!

I had a terrible cold but the food still tasted wonderful. If you can't taste too well, then have the fish pie, it was a triumph. The smoked salmon was good too.

As a Travel Consultant I would recommend Hotel highly, especially if one is not an meat eater and loves fish... also pricing is good, especially for London.

Exceptional food served by attentive waiting staff. The food was prepared and served in good sized portions. Fish was fresh and the selection was impressive. Will definatly visit again.

Lovely meal, but really to keep to keep topping up water glass every minute and not even drink any of it!!! Bit excessive.

Sometimes we like to eat in peace and the 12.5 % service charge along with the £4 booking fee needs to be looked at. The plastic straws !! And it’s a fish restaurant get with the times, plastics, oceans, etc . Food was good fish pie lovely but could have been hotter ! Pricey for what it is but then that’s London I suppose.

Love the place it’s romantic love the service it was quick and the chief was clear and went out of he’s way to let us no what we was eating

I'm no relation, honest. Great staff, nice atmosphere, good selection of wine. My steak was done to perfection. A few more non fishy options would be nice. My girlfriend loves swimming things and assures me it was excellent. Only downside was not getting a straw, hence only 4 stars

Had pre theatre dinner as guests of wife’s client...

I had octopus as a main which was excellent, all two other people at the table had King prawns another stone bass special and the other person had a curry.

Unfortunately was no time to have dessert as we had to leave and the waitress said it’d Take to long to prepare.... It probably took 15 to 20 minutes to get bill and pay. Shame re desert which was slightly annoying. Have to return for a proper leisurely meal next time...

Pretty good ... but a £15 seafood sandwich that tastes like a cheese toastie was a bit ridiculous !!!

We had this meal booked for a while and we were looking forward to it. The service and staff were good, I was the only one of the four of us that enjoyed their food and I had steak! Potions were ridiculously small, more suited as a started than a main. Fish pie was VERY salty, which ruined it. Drinks were so overpriced, that we stuck to water.
