I am based in Stockwood and am standing in the local Council elections on 4th May 2017 as the Liberal Democrat candidate. I belong to the party that best matches my personal values of fairness, freedom, responsibility and kindness. I am proud of the Lib Dem record in government. I am against Brexit which will undermine our global standing and make us vulnerable to the power of the global corporations.

I love Worcestershire, this is my home, and I am proud to stand in this election. If elected then I will work for everyone in the local area applying my capabilities and skills to improving the services we receive from Worcestershire County Council.

I celebrate entrepreneurship and am committed to equality of opportunity for all. I am pro-individual success and pro-equality. I am against the wealth gap and abuse of power. I am a facilitator by nature, with a positive realism forged in overcoming many challenges.

I have always been interested in business and believe the market (consumers and businesses) can be the most effective force for environmental and social security. People think that the economy is all about competition but when times are tough we see their true colours: human beings are so successful because under duress we pull together.

I think the Lib Dems did a good job in government 2010 – 2015, and along with many Conservatives, wish that government had continued.

I was politicised by the Brexit process and decided to try to become a politician so that I could join the public debate and help the search for a healthier balance between the pursuit of economic "security" and a healthy meaningful life.

I am pro-EU because its founding purpose of securing peace still matters more than anything, and I do not believe any European nation will ever allow its sovereignty to be subsumed; on the contrary, the EU nations use their membership of the EU to strengthen their sovereignty in the globalised world.
