Posting for my Seniors after tonight’s class, Trust me when I say you have done well 💜 You improve every week. After a loooong dance weekend and clearly sniffly and tired, you were still at class 👏 I could feel your frustration, and you care a lot about the work you deliver, but be kinder to yourselves ! It’s easy to say Well Done on the good days, but here is a well done on a tougher one 😍 Lovely grande jete Poppy to end class 👏

Monday nights at XAPA are Vocational ISTD Intermediate Foundation 5.30-7.00 and Intermediate 7.00 -8.30 Ballet classes. I am often asked about this syllabi and it’s value. It is offered alongside ISTD grades 4-6 as supplementary training at XAPA. Examination is available and I have entered students between ages 12 to 18 plus dependent on experience. On average we study each level between 12 to 18 months. Personally I find inter foundation reinforces and revisits a lot of tec...hnique at a time when young students are enduring a lot of physical changes and secures the grade work previously learnt. Intermediate /advanced 1 Ballet is the grounding for further vocational study at 16 or 18 for most genres of Dance including Musical Theatre . It is quite an intensive route in addition to their other dance classes but if you have an interest or are simply curious to see the work on MONDAY 9th DECEMBER you are welcome, indeed invited to watch class between 6 and 8.30 or part of! Note our younger students may enjoy this opportunity 🤷🏻‍♀️ external students can be accepted with teachers permission and students are automatically eligible for my Sunday Scholar Coaching 💜

And group 2 💜

Senior scholars worked today on linking steps in our pointe shoes, these take as much care and detail as the pirouettes and more demanding vocabulary, difficult to soften and elevate through the feet into plié, good try girls 👏

Love the science of Dance, students can learn and progress safely as they learn how their body can become an instrument to express the Dancer that is unique to them 💜
