Jaguar Land Rover runs a wide range of educational activities and programmes to inspire more young people to pursue Science, Tech & Engineering careers

Jaguar Land Rover's ‘Inspiring Tomorrow’s Engineers’ programme promotes learning and engagement in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) subjects in collaboration with schools and colleges to inspire young people to consider engineering and manufacturing careers. It’s critical that we encourage more talented young people to become the next generation of engineers and technologists to address the skills shortage and sustain our business over the long term.

We work with young people from primary school to university age and deliver a range of engaging STEM challenges and activities which also develop employability skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving, so we’re also helping them prepare for the world of work.

The programme has three main elements:

Our industry-leading Education Business Partnership Centres which manage school visits and work placements at our UK & Brazilian sites

School STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) Team Challenges including Land Rover 4x4 in Schools, Jaguar Maths in Motion and Jaguar Primary School Challenge which bring science and technology subjects to life, providing pupils with hands-on projects that enable them to explore different aspects of the automotive industry in a stimulating and exciting way. In addition to raising awareness about engineering and automotive technologies, the projects also help young people develop communication, team-work, project management and ICT skills.

Careers outreach activities where we engage with young people, teachers and parents outside our plants to help inform career choices.
