Ordered a pair of school shoes for my daughter on Sunday. This was the only place I could find online with the size and style she wanted. They were delivered for free and arrived on Tuesday which was great. The box was abit battered but luckily the shoes were intact. I would order again �

Manager rude, rip off merchants , dia customer service did everything

Check sizes before you buy, they convert to the smaller option, ie: 41 is sold as a 8, 42 is closer to an 8. Says you can return, what it does not make clear is you have to pay for returns. Would I buy from these people again. NOPE!

Bought my daughter size 13 shoes was sent a size 31. U.K. Size 13 is a 32in EU. Emailed to advise of this error to be told point blank I am wrong, no apology the error is all mine. Even after sending lelli Kelly size guides from other retailers and a snap shot off google images showing they have their size guide wrong still no apology. Unless you check the size guide on every single item you buy I would strongly advise to avoid. And as far as customer services goes it was beyond shocking, never encountered such rude customer care in my life

Awful!!! Paid extra to have the boots delivered next day...ordered Friday it’s now Tuesday and we still don’t have them!!

After being treated like a criminal by a member of staff (I assume management) for returning a pair of school shoes, that had been worn for 6hours..

The assistant proceeded to blame my daughter for the fault. Yet if this had infact been the case, she would of almost certainly broken her ankle whilst doing so.

After 20minutes of arguing and wasting my time with the assistant, I left the store rather red faced!!!

After contacting the Dr marten's head office myself I returned the shoes direct to them and my concerns where in fact right and the shoes proven to be faulty.



I can honestly say thanks to the extremely disgusting customer service that jakes provide, and the snotty nosed blonde manager that proceeded to look down her nose at me throughout our conversation I will not be returning to jakes in the future.

But I have taken a little comfort in reading the reviews on this page today as it appears that I am not the only one that had received this level of customer service from this particular store! Looks like your company prefers profit over your reputation.

I have also logged a full complaint with dr marten's over the level of customer service you have given on there behave...

Absolutely disgusted with the way I got treated in jakes. I have 3 young boys and always go to jakes for their school shoes. This time was no different. I bought my six year old son a pair of timberland boots, they cost me £60 but I don’t mind paying for expensive shoes if they will last. After wearing the boots 7 times they look like they are at least a year old. All the front end has come off them on both boots, which means he can’t wear them. So I may as well have chucked £60 down the drain. Apparently they have emailed Timberland who have said there is nothing they can do! I won’t ever be buying from jakes again!

Absolute disreagard for the Sale of Goods Act!

I spent £85 on a pair of Dr Martens sandals and after a few wears the sole was very badly worn. I returned them to be told I would have to come back another day when a manager was in! I insisted this was not good enough and some photos were taken of the shoes along with my contact details so they could call me back. This was 5 working days ago and I am still waiting. These sandals are on the Dr Martens website and reviews on there comment on the poor quality sole so I contacted Dr Martens directly. They are happy to exchange them directly and managed a response in only 2 days.

The sale of goods act applies to retailers and not manufacturers but Jakes shoes seem to think they are exempt, see other reviews! I am a retail manager and I am fully aware of the law but many people will have been fobbed off with faulty goods and no recompense as Jakes will make out that there is no fault present!
