We chose Jamie's Diner at Gatwick Airport while waiting for flight. The best decision. We had great food and good beer, enjoyed it so much that we forgot about our flight. Realising that our flight was taking off we had to run to gate. My card bounced on the way out and I asked if I could pay later, as I had no time to find out what was wrong. The waiter was extremely nice and understanding - and he saved our buts so badly - we were able to catch the flight last minute. I hope I'll see him soon again because I'm gonna tip him to the roof!!

We ordered Jamie's insanity burger with skinny fries and smokey bbq beans, blackened cajun fish with skinny fries and chipotle mayo. It looks like people are too eager to find even a smallest flaw on this venue and then compete among themselfes who's gonna write more dramatic sequence of The sorrows of young Werther...So, regarding the first and foremost important thing of every restaurant - the taste of ordered food was great! Fish and chips was even better than burger. It tasted so good that the next day I went to Borough market to buy cajun seasonig so I cay try to reproduce same dish at home. To be honest, I did tasted better burgers than thid one but I would order it again easily. Quntities of served food were more than enough for two. It costed us 42£ (including drinks). Rergarding the service - it was flawless. We came early in the afternoon (I assume that is the main reason for flawless service), we could choose our seat, we didn't wait long to get food, every waiter was polite and with smile...there was even one waiter singing and amusing other guests. So, to sum up, we ate some good food and had some great experince and to all of you planning on visiting this place I can only say do not be discouraged by bad reviews and go there predjudicefree to try some pretty tasty food. I had an amazing pull pork burger, with sweet potoate fries was lush!! That staff was really kind, seen my happy birthday badge and sang happy birthday with a unexpected chocolate brownie and candle bless them.

If I could suggest how to improve would be the toilet could do with upgrating.

I did look for Jamie Oliver but not my lucky day. I would highly recommend going!!

User

Had dinner at Jamie’s Diner Shaftesbury Avenue. Fantastic food, fantastic service. Jamie, you should be proud of your team. Made a great end to my daughters 16th birthday day out in London. Thank you all the team.

User

Absolutely love this place and so does my little boy. Food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. ( the one in central London)

User

Went yesterday for a bit of late lunch as we just arrived in London, we eaten here before and had a very good experience, this time was also pretty good ! Only thing I would moan abit about and that is the time from sitting down to them taking out order, took about 25 mins just to order drinks and food. But carnt fault the food it was very good and would definitely go back again !

User

Veggie hamburger was great. Only one thing I did not like was the straw they give automatically. Straw that most people don't need and gets into the sea far too often.

User

Came for a meal with my husband, he had the baby chicken and I had the ribs! Lovely food, only reason we aren't leaving a 5 star review is there was an unpleasant smell inside the entrance and we waited approx 10 minutes for the waiter to appear to ask for the bill. Food was spot on though

User

Well I have to give this place 3 stars. Prices were good, service was excellent, but Jamie, if you are going to put your name on a restaurant it should be better than this. I got the “Greek salad”. Taste good, but It came out with iceberg lettuce . And I ordered a “Extra spicy Bloody Mary” ( Jamie’s Special Recipe ). Tasted great with good heat, but it was garnished with a plastic straw. Nothing else. . Not impressed. I am still hungry, so might go a block up to your Italian joint for a main course. One more chance to hold yourself up to all those years of watching you on the tellie.

User

Service was very hit and miss.

Not many people in the restaurant, but meal for 6 came in stages!

Food, just ok.

In my opinion......could do much better.

£2.95 for a small coke or lemonade....ridiculous.

Sorry....I would expect something much better with Jamie’s name on it.

User

10:30am Came in for the waffles which weren't waffles but pancakes.... coz our daughters just had her braces fitted tighter and we're about to depart at Gatwick to foreign shores .... ordered .... ok came back no pancakes / waffles ???? ( surely even Mr Oliver himself knows the difference!!! Waffles promoted everywhere to be told they're pancakes ) oh and NO decaf coffee .... Mr Oliver you need your ass whipping !!! Honestly all the Americans sat in here kicking your ass verbally!!!!! Come on doesn't look good for us British!!! (Apparently the kitchen just decided to stop cooking them!!!!! at 10:30am)

User

The food tasted great, but... It took an hour to come and when it did, pretty much all of it was almost cold. There was no point in saying anything because they were totally unable to cope. Pulled pork was delicious but cold. Kids chicken lollipops meal was bigger than my pulled pork meal. Wouldn't bother ever visiting again. Sorry Jamie, but your diner's sh*te.

User

Ordered a whole hog burger. Very small with only coleslaw included for £13.50. It was tasty and good quality but extremely overpriced. My partners Quesadilla was disappointing.

Asked for a kraken rum shot, returned with a white rum and when asked he said it was kraken?!? On the receipt was placed as RBarcelo rum so waiter lied.

For a Jamie Oliver restaurant in central London. Disappointing.

User

I must say I'm disappointed of the burger, I order a Classic Cheese Burger for 13.50£ and I expected something more than McDonald's size cheese burger... a total fraud, personal friendly but the food a total disappointment

User

Having been yo Jamie’s Italian in Reading and thoroughly enjoyed it we headed for the London Diner but we’re so disappointed. Drinks ordered and meals, limited menu and especially for children. The drinks took an age to come but food was fairly quick. My cheeseburger was tasty but nearly cold, mr husbands ribs had chilli in the sauce when he specified no chillis. The music was loud and you couldn’t have a decent conversation. After our main course we waited so long to be asked did we want dessert that we just collared the waiter and asked for the bill, won’t be going to that one again.

User

Got a table witout reservations about 1900. Quick service at the table. Soo far soo good. Drinks came fast and then came the food. Just Superdry burgers (2 out of 3) and weeeeel done chicken. Trust the reviews, and go somewhere else!

User

Staff were really vacant, slow and seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves.

Had to send back cold food.

Toilets are really unpleasant.

I’m not sure if they do desserts.... I’m still waiting for the menu.

To top it all, the steak tasted good but was tough.

Not what I expected from a Jamie Oliver establishment.

You need to get down here and sort them out Jamie !! What are you playing at ??

User

Rank rotten in every way. Been to Jamie's Italian in Edinburgh and loved it so seen this when heading back to picadily underground and thought I would treat myself. I love chicken wings so when I seen them on the menu especially when it's Jamie Oliver and a takeaway I was really looking forward to them with a side of fries. So ordered my food and Sat at the table at the shop front. Then it went really down hill the lady that served us stood right next to us and vaped all over the top of us me and my son. Then when she was finished the chef then came out sparked up a cigarette and smoked right over us so we were forced to move seats. Then when the food arrived the chicken wings were as dry as wood. They had obviously been over cooked to the point of no return then dipped into a sauce and I HONESTLY couldn't tell if it was chicken or the bone I was eating if that wasn't bad enough the fry were frozen cold. Disappointed is an understatement. POOR SHOW

User

I just had the worst breakfast, the avocados were not ripe and the sweet corn fritters were so bland and so greasy. £12 for a plate of crap. Really disappointing
