Went today on a groupon wasn’t expecting good things due to some poor reviews but it massively exceeded expectations. The food and service was fantastic. Can’t believe I’ve not been before based on others reviews. Highly recommend

User

We had the two course lunch special. Very tasty and we enjoyed very much. Very reasonable also. Service was very good and our waiter very friendly. Definitely will go back next time in Liverpool

User

Fantastic service and food! 10 of us for my daughters 21st. Ashley our waitress was amazing couldn’t do enough for us. Food excellent and cannot wait to come back again

User

.....always love Jamie’s, great friendly service and top scran, my free Royal Wedding cocktail went down a treat too after running the Liverpool half.

Visited as a couple on a day out shopping in Liverpool as a change of scenery from Birmingham.

Arrived at 12.15 and glad we did as it got busy shortly after. We went for the 2 course lunch menu.

Soup and fish/ squid starters and we had the Italian steak which attracted a £3 supplement each.

Service was very good and the food was good. Only gripe was the £4 cost for small bottles of beer.

We would return.

It was our fiest time to Jamie's Italian last night. Our server Harry was really friendly. Made us feel really welcome. Had a little chat about our day and how we were going to the theatre and he seemed genuinely interested. The food was really nice. We had the set menu and unfortunately didn't have time for a dessert so we hope to come back again soon. Only reason for 4 stars is we thought the drinks were a little too expensive and the toilets seemed to confuse everyone where they were! Also had a slight smell to the ladies toilets and no full length mirror!

Went for a birthday treat and booked gluten free menu in advance. Also joined the gold club so got few quid off. No gluten free food available on arrival which made it hard work to get around ordering. Id emailed a few times with queries and had no response which was annoying...However what we had was beautiful, well cooked ( small portions though!) Cheese cake is to die for!!!! Wine is very expensive as you'd imagine, but hey ho...it was me birthday!!!

Would go again but as a treat

I wld not rush back meal was nothing special, slow cooked beef was tough and chicken cld have come from nandos. Think these stars that put their name to these restaurants need to up their game very disappointing

User

Bit of a wait. Starter and main course was very nice. How ever the tiramisu was very poor had no coffee taste to it at all more like ice cream with chocolate sauce nothing like what it was ment to be and tastes awful

User

Worst carbonara I have ever eaten. Tasted like a bachelors packet pasta. Chips came after food was finished and we had asked three times for these. The only reason I gave a two star was the waiter was working so hard. Paid £11.50 for a meal I wouldn’t of touched if it wasn’t for being a friends hen do and not wanting to upset her. Nice place disgusting food.

User

We were in a large party so the staff were a bit harrassed but coped well and were pleasant and attentive. The food, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired, not what I would expect from a so called Jamie Oliver restaurant, and is the on,y reason for my decision that I would not eat there again.

User

We ordered the lunch time offer 2 course for 11.50 and it was very disappointing. My starter was burnt round the edges and rock hard and my carbonara was awful. Never had a carbonara as bad. We then got charged extra and paid more than 11.50 anyway but didn't realise till we walked away. Also paid 2.25 for soda water. Won't be returning. Staff were really nice though. That was the only good thing about it.

User

Today’s visit was very disappointing. The place was grubby with sticky tables. We waited for quite a while for someone to take our order. In the end we had to ask. We ordered from the set menu. The starters were ok. I ordered buttermilk chicken burger which I wrongly assumed would be chicken breast. It seemed to be lots of pieces of brown meat pressed together. They did change it for a carbonara for me but that tasted as if it had been sitting around in the kitchen all day. I’m just glad we got £10 off the bill with my Jamie’s gold card.

User

My wife and I were recommended to try the restaurant. Have to say, very disappointed with the service and overall ambiance, staff were inattentive and disinterested. Went for lunch, around 1.30pm on Saturday last week. Chips were over cooked and upon mentioning to waiting on staff, it seemed an inconvenience for him to want to deal with.

Was looking forward to going. Very disappointed

User

I had to ask waiting on staff what was on the specials as information wasn’t offered, starter was ok, mains were poor my hubby has a burger and said he had better at McDonald’s, I had seafood linguine and there were two prawns, 1 tiny piece of squid, 2 small pieces of scallop and 2 mussels and sauce was flavourless, my husband had a pudding and it was the only nice thing we had. Won’t be going back the restaurant has gone terrible compared to how it used to be. I would go to your likes of zizzi you will have a better meal at much better value!!!!

User

Group of 6, table was booked but late being seated, attitude when asked to put drinks we had ordered while waiting onto our food menu, no cutlery at table, dirty glass on table for water had to ask for clean one, no side plates given for the bread platter eating if off napkins, last sitting but over half the menu not available, burger arrived bottom bap cold and hard in middle like it wasn't fully defrosted! even though i was told we don't have frozen food by manager so i dont know the explanation and neither did he ??? Ended up eating on my own as everyone finished and the chips that arrived with it were cold!!! But couldn't be annoyed at this stage complaining again, definately would not recommend it especially for a special occasion everyone in our party was very disappointed with it.

User

Food was subpar and service was very poor. Our waiter walked over to our table multiple times and saw that we had finished our food yet still walked off to find something else to do. One waiter was very poorly presented: dragging his feet constantly with his shirt hanging out and his trousers too low, a young girl who didn’t seem to know what she was doing at all and a waiter who I only saw standing by the till when the restaurant was packed. There were only two staff members I saw doing their job and one looked to be the manager, he seemed to do the job of the 4 floor staff who either all stood by the till having a chat or sitting upstairs having a break. Food was cold, pasta was hard and stuck together, was barely any meat in the Bolognese...would definitely not return. Can say for sure I’d rather go to my local Italian, very disappointed.

User

Very disappointed in our meal at Jamie’s Liverpool on Saturday evening 16th June 2018.

Reality did not meet expectation by a long way !!

Restaurant not full yet takes over 25 minutes to be offered drink at our table .

Wife’s Pesto Tagliatelle was awful, bland and swimming in liquid !!

She only ate one mouthful .

Wife’s dessert ( brownie with ice cream) was served with a FORK as they said they had run out of spoons... REALLY!!!

I would not recommend this restaurant .... simple

After a great day shopping and drinking in Liverpool with my wife we decided to cap it off with a “special” meal at Jamie’s Italian, we both ordered the epic lasagne only for 1 to come out as a lasagne and the other was no more than a small lump of lasagne in a cheese and tomato soup, sent it back and then my wife watched me eat my food and then I watched her eat hers, they did take 1 lasagne from the bill but it spoiled what was otherwise a great day
