Sometimes things don’t go to plan. Like the 3 hour delay our of Gatwick this morning, or my sat nav getting confused in Italy. But if you don’t stress, good things happen... I got a #Mercedes as my hire car, my sat nav took me on a route that included a #ferry across #LakeMaggiore, and the hotel upgraded me to a Junior Suite. So, don’t sweat the small stuff, good things are on the way. People often ask me what makes me different to other travel "agents". Well this weekend I am flying to Milan and then driving two hours to Ascona to visit one of my very best clients, who is in hospital following open heart surgery.
He has been a client for 8 years and supported me when I wanted to start my own business, so now it is my turn to support him. Plus, I want to make sure he is following his surgeons orders to take things slowly :-)

It became the birthplace of Alpine sports in 1864 when Caspar Badrutt made a bet with some British Summer guests that they should return in the winter, and if they did not like the village, he would refund their travel costs. If they DID like it, they could stay as long as they wished, and so began the start of Winter Tourism in the Alps.
