Newcastle has been failed by the politician councillors who run our city. Too often, they fail to address the issues they control and instead focus on national issues over which they have no control.
These politician councillors use the council platform to make score party political points. That is not what we want our council to do.
Geordies are known for our passion, warmth and generosity. I am proud of my city and I want to make Newcastle great again.
I want our council to be at the heart of the community, helping residents to live long and productive lives. We can do this by making sure we have the right infrastructure to support our economy, empowering every community within the city and providing high quality services that local people rely on.
I have campaigned for change in Newcastle for over 11 years and my desire for more community based independent minded councillors led me to become a founder member of the Newcastle Independents.
