Today was my first visit, and it won't be the last. The afternoon tea was lovely, with unlimited tea or coffee. The atmosphere is relaxing and warm. The waiting staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant was once a Co-op, and has been tastefully modernised, but retains many attractive features such as the original wall and floor tiles. Highly recommended.

User

Recently visited & received a warm welcome, service was friendly & the afternoon tea was one of the best we’ve had. Will definitely be returning. Venue has a good vibe, toilets were modern & spotless. Provided a free box for the cakes we didn’t manage to eat 10/10.

User

On recommendation came in today for the vegan breakfast platter. It was fantastic, one of the best breakfast meals I have had in a long time. Real thought has gone into everything on the platter and it works, not just for vegans either. I ordered extra toast since my eyes are generally bigger than my belly, and probably shouldn't have. The taste was great and so diverse. Checking the menu and seeing what others ordered I wanted it all! Vegan or not this team put you first. If you want greasy spoon, don't come here, if you want the best breakfast, coffee with tons of options, a mountain of taste, in a cool setting amongst really nice staff and customers definitely come here. It has more charm than your Chorlton beech Rd or Didsbury village cafe/restaurant simply because it's a set away from the hustle of the town, you could miss it if you blink, but I wholly recommend you spend the time to find it... great place can't wait to see how it develops.

User

Just had the breakfast sharing platter and it didn’t disappoint! It was really busy with it being fathers’ day but we got a warm welcome, shown to our table, order taken promptly and food arrived in good time. The quality was fantastic. We will certainly be back! Thank you

User

I came with my sister and our babies and everything was really nice - we had the sharing breakfast platter and it was lovely, good quality and home made. The Service was great too, very friendly I especially liked that children were welcome, it was very spacious and there was a nice atmosphere. It's so great that they cater for allergy sufferers too and offered me milk alternatives for my dairy free dietary requirements. We will be back!

User

I came today for the first time to try out the vegan sharing platter. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. The couple that own the cafe are very friendly and accommodating and we were made to feel very welcome! The place itself has a lovely atmosphere and is very child friendly with highchairs, toys/books & baby changing area. We will definitely be back again :)

User

Had my birthday breakfast here this morning with my son, great place, really welcoming and the food was amazing, recommend the full English breakfast. Thanks!

User

Came today for Sunday lunch 7 adults (1 Vegan) and 10 month Grandson. Food was delicious, very tasty and loads on the plate, great value. The staff were amazing very helpful. Will definitely be visiting again.

User

Lovely meal today at Javes. The building is really well renovated and looks great including the new outdoor seating area. Food was lovely and well presented. 4*as it was rather a long wait for the food and it was a bit pricey but I would definitely visit again.

User

Just had a great Sunday lunch at Javes, friendly service and a great place to have on our doorstep. We’ll be back for breakfast soon!

User

First visit today and really enjoyed it. Family friendly and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was really good and offering a vegan menu went down really well with a couple of our party. Would I return - Oh Yes !!

User

Charged me £5 for a takeaway breakfast. The bread wasn’t even buttered and literally had one sausage with two poached eggs! Since then the staff have got in touch and were very kind to give me a free breakfast this morning & it was perfect!! Thank you so much. Will be coming again.

User

Bought the afternoon deal on Groupon and found it very easy to make the booking.

Made a special request for gluten free for one person.

Arrived a little early but was greeted and welcomed by the staff.

Plenty of seats as not very busy so had many areas to choose from

The afternoon tea was delightful and as requested was accommodated with the gluten free afternoon tea.

The staff were very nice and gave us a takeaway box as we couldn’t manage the cakes.

No complaints I will be back thank you

User

Such a shame and disappointing when realising there wasn’t much in the way of home baked/cooked food included with the afternoon tea . Felt like we were overwhelmed with dry scones and ‘shop bought’ cakes.

Came in today with my husband around lunchtime, wasn’t acknowledged when we came in, sat outside on a very dangerous bench at a table. Had to go inside to ask for menus. Waited a further 10 minutes for someone to take our order or 2 sandwiches and 2 cold drinks. Being such a warm day, a few cubes of ice would have been nice. We proceeded to wait 30 minutes for our food to be told that the order hasn’t made it to the kitchen and it would be out shortly. A further 20 minutes passed before our food arrived. We weren’t the only people in this situation as 2 other tables outside who came in after us got their food soon after. We were offered a free drink each but by that time I just wanted to eat and go as we had to pick our son up from grandparents. We weren’t even offers any sort of discount from the final bill. This was our second visit together and sadly we won’t be going back. It’s a shame as the food is nice but the service is shocking.

User

Waited an 1 hour and 20 minutes for four of there breakfast platters and by the time it came out we were basically filled up with tea and coffee suppose that didn't matter though as when the "big" platters came out that are ment to service two people had very little on them and we were all still hungry. On the way out we noticed another couple who bought a platter that only waited 20 minutes or so and the portions they had were huge compared to ours, they clearly couldn't cope with making four platters at once and decided to spread the food out and we didn't complain or utter a word to the staff apart from asking how long the food will be and not once did they apologise for the wait. Will not be going again any time soon

User

Came hear yesterday with family members. On the positive side very spacious and staff very friendly and welcoming so good customer service. Food quality not the best. I ordered a traditional cheese sandwich. Erm it was that packet cheese (obviously brought in bulk) probably for toppings etc! Slapped together with 2 pieces of white bread! Wasn't very fresh either. Other family members chose veggie and vegan options said their food was 'ok'. Had to add lots of salt pepper, was bland. Think perhaps need to up knowledge especially with the vegan and veggie quality that is offered in other establishments. Can't comment on dessert as i didn't really want to order anything else. Not for me!
