This Wednesday evening Jazz 825 welcomes The St. Barbe Trio, featuring guitarist, James Maltby, bassist Edwin Ireland and drummer, Floyer Sydenham. Having met at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, they discovered a mutual love for craft beer, sarcasm and odd time signatures. They now channel these three passions into fresh and innovative original music, balancing extended improvisations with intricate trio arrangements that draw on jazz, rock and hip hop.
