Jazz Hastings Description

JazzHastings is an independent, voluntary, not for profit group founded and organised by Reg Hendrikse, Agatha Coffey, Sophie Mason and John Donaldson. Since the spring of 2005 it has promoted a monthly gig.

Previous acts have included such stars as Don Weller, Art Themen, Alan Barnes, Stan Tracey, Guy Barker, Bobby Wellins, Liane Carroll, John Etheridge, Polar Bear, Christian Brewer, Stan Sulzman, Gwilym Simcock, Jim Hart, Mark Edwards, Greg Abate, Ben Castle, John Crichinson, Mornington Lockett, Steve Grossman, David Newton, Nikki Iles, Byron Wallen, Peter King, Bheki Mseleku, Eddie Henderson and Kirk Lightsey (see image) to name just a few! Jazz Hastings has a policy of promoting established as well as young emerging professional musicians. Please check the Archive page on this site for details of the artists who have appeared at the club over the last year or so.

Performances are always on Tuesdays at the very reasonable admission price of £10. The support for all the gigs has been tremendous. Please keep coming and they will continue! (Near the Jerwood Gallery and the Lifeboat Station)
