Jazzleeds Description
JazzLeeds started as Seven Jazz 10 years ago at Seven Arts in Chapel Allerton and in those ten years has put on on upwards of 1000 bands, developed a jazz workshop programme for instrumentalists, started the Leeds Jazz Voices Choir, run the Village Jazz Festival as part of the Chapel Allerton Festival and last year for the first time ran a Day of Jazz in Millennium Square. As Seven Jazz the club has picked up a couple of awards on the way– “Best Yorkshire Jazz Club” from Jazz Yorkshire in 2012 and from the UK Parliamentary Jazz award in 2016 both for best UK jazz club.
