About Jcj Pottery
JCJ Pottery make useful and beautiful pots by hand for the home. Our speciality is reduction fired lustreware decorated with a brush.
Jcj Pottery Description
Jonathan Chiswell Jones has been producing fine lustreware and porcelain from a small workshop in a barn in the English countryside since 1975.
He became interested in the traditional method of making lustre ware 14 years ago and is one of the very few specialists in this area of pottery.
In recent years, his work has featured in several sales at Bonhams, the London auction house.
All his work is decorated freehand with a brush with designs which resonate with De Morgan's work, but have their own life and history.
We welcome visitors to our showroom in Sussex, where our full range is on display.

These are probably the most testing pots we are asked to make. The picture is of Jonathan's old college which as you can see requires very delicate and complicated detail. The lettering (painted by Kerry!) and the college shield are not simple, but having made six, we were happy when five fired well.
