Dear all . I have set up a You Tube channel which is unlisted so only those with the link can see it . I have posted some of the videos that I recorded before we had to stop classes . I will also add some from past shows as I didn’t get anything recorded on the Saturday . Also during this time I will add on pre-recorded classes & dances that the children might enjoy practising to . I hope this all works . please let me know . Will be texting the link too so hopefully everyon...e will have it but just in case please check with others that you may know . I hope you are all keeping well & managing to cope with the shopping & the children being at home with nowhere to go . Stay safe . Julia If you haven't received the link or text by Monday please message me xxx

I have downloaded the videos of Mary Poppins & Snowflakes practice privately to YouTube . I thought it would help with practising at home . If anyone wants the link please message me . I will be downloading other recorded videos in the next few days . Keep well everyone . 🥰

Show provisionally booked for 19th July . We can't have a stage rehearsal if we have the show at this time . We will arrange costume rehearsals at our usual venues . If we still are in lock down I will go for October . ( just hope the costumes still fit ) .xx

Following the guidelines for schools Fridays classes will be the last for the foreseeable future . As for the show it will have to be postponed . I will be speaking to Haverhill Arts Centre tomorrow to see if I can get a date in July . I hate to do this as the pupils & myself have put in a lot of work & I have spent a lot on costumes . I really hope we can do the show in July as some older pupils will be off to University in September . I have been teaching them for many years & this was to be their last show . I will keep everyone informed & see if I can transfer some videos to help pupils practice . I will be adding the remaining class of this term to next term if we have one . I will let everyone know when term starts & run some summer workshops . In the meantime keep safe . xx

In these unprecedented times, the spirit shown nationally, to help each other, has been tremendous, however sadly I need to make you aware of opportunists Yesterday we received reports of opportunists taking advantage of the current Coronavirus pandemic, by posting flyers through doors in Bishops Stortford, requesting food donations for the YMCA foodbanks, unfortunately it’s sad to report that this is a scam. The YMCA have not been involved in this initiative. Be aware that o...pportunists and criminals can take advantage of the elderly and vulnerable who are self-isolating. Anyone being offered "kindness" by cold callers by way of running errands, collecting prescriptions and doing shopping should not accept services from strangers who may ask for cash up front, a credit card and its PIN, or gain trust simply to execute a more elaborate scam. e.g. to access savings. Most people offering to help elderly people in their neighbourhood are genuinely kind, honest and caring. The elderly self-isolating will be stuck for food, supplies and someone to talk to if they don't have friends, family or a nearby neighbour that they already know. If everyone makes contact now with their nearest elderly neighbours WHO THEY ALREADY KNOW and gives them their phone number and offer of help for when they need it, it will reduce the chances of them accepting help from a stranger who may turn out to be an opportunist, confidence trickster and thief. The health and safety of our pupils and the wider community is my primary concern, and I am monitoring the situation day-by-day as it evolves. For now we will remain open. Also I realise pupils are looking forward to the show & we have all worked hard towards May 3rd . Again I am monitoring the situation but at the moment I am still planning for our dress rehearsal 26th April & show May 3rd . If things change I will inform everyone & book a later date . Meanwhile keep safe & sane if possible . Julia x
