JDB ethos is to deliver better maths skillset for all children, not just the lucky ones. We want to overcome barriers, be it economic, establishment or systemic that short-change the child from receiving maths skills. We want to equip them with numeracy competence (a bridge between real-world maths and academic maths) for their adult life. JDB method is based on pen-to-paper rigour (no fancy on-line scaleable commercial propositions) of structured workbooks providing continuous recapping of learnt topics and application of maths in the real-world. For schools incoporating JDB, the method and work-books complements - not interfere - the school's curriculum. The format enables stress-free continuous learning throughout the year. Proven to help build the child's self-confidence and motivation. Parents and children have said it is an excellent revision help, as it removes the year-end panic of re-learning topics that are forgotten! Although it is aimed for 11 to 16 year olds, it is also proving to be a great help for adult numeracy education. The booster programme includes a series of modular workbooks, a unique delivery technique, teachers certification and an on-line progress tracking.
