Jellybeans learning resources are engaging, open ended, multisensory and original early years resources linked to the Early Years and National curricula.

Jellybeans Learning Resources is a family-run business started by a teacher-turned childminder and mother of pre-school children.

After spending countless hours scouring the internet for "easy to use" resources, and many more hours laminating, cutting and sticking we can appreciate how challenging it can be to find resources that not only capture children's interest and imagination, but also last more than one lesson! While school budgets are stretched, and with a current push for longer opening hours we appreciate teachers' time and money is precious.

As parents, we often found educational resources to be out of our price range, complicated, patronising or simply vague. With so many products out there claiming to be "educational" it almost felt overwhelming and wasn't always easy to know what to invest our time and money in.

Because of this, the concept of Jellybeans Learning Resources originated- initially with resources given a great test drive by the most discerning of critics; the children! Who better to tell us what interests and engages and captivates? All images used in our resources, planning, worksheets and activities are 100% original, hand-drawn and do not infringe copyright laws, and as they are made with time, care and lots of love for what we do, we take great pride in offering our customers something truly unique.

The resources in our range are developed with key concepts in mind:
. that children are inquisitive by their very nature and enjoy finding out "why" and "how"
. that children need constant challenge and stimulation to develop skills- while many toys have a single premise and once mastered become "boring", our resources are open-ended and can be returned to frequently, explored in different ways and accessed by different age groups and abilities.
. that children learn most effectively through exploration, play and repetition, building on their knowledge and skills.
. that children enjoy a multi-sensory approach to learning as each is unique with different learning styles.
. that children enjoy taking ownership of their learning and seeing their achievements.
. that parents and practitioners want activities and resources that will keep them interested as much as the children!
. that parents and practitioners want resources that don't require further spending, further planning and resourcing- something that literally you can "pick up and run with" as the child's interest changes so dynamically.
. that practitioners want resources that are already linked to the curriculum saving them hours of cross-referencing and evidencing.
. that children enjoy learning about the natural world around them.

But perhaps most importantly, (and the reason we became parents /teachers /childminders in the first place! ),
. that ALL children should be able to access fun, engaging resources to help them achieve their full potential, regardless of age, ability, social and economic backgrounds with no barriers to learning.
