Jem Collins Description
Jem is a freelance video, online and social media journalist based in London.
She's worked with numerous national and specialist outlets including the i Paper, Metro. co. uk, Politics. co. uk, PinkNews, London Live, The Media Society, and others.
As well as her journalism, she is also passionate about helping young people into the industry, running her own site Journo Resources to help. She is also a trustee of the Student Publication Association, which she used to chair.
Before being a full-time freelancer she worked as a video journalist for Kent based TV station KMTV and Politics. co. uk, and graduated from the University of Kent's Centre for Journalism in 2014 (which is a scarily long time ago).
She is particularly interested in human rights, careers, politics, education - and writing up her holidays.
