I thought I’d share something a little different today - I’ve spent some of this lockdown rediscovering piano music that I haven’t looked at in a long time, and Michael Nyman’s ‘Big My Secret’ is one of them.
It ain’t perfect, but I so love the music - feels like coming back to an old friend.

My amazing multi-talented friend Richard Millington has released his solo album, with a pay-as-you-feel donation and all profits going to musicians and venues that have been hit particularly hard by the current pandemic.

Hi lovelies! Just a couple of updates regarding the coronavirus:
-tomorrow’s gig at Platform 2 and the Sofar gig on 31st March will not be going ahead due to the coronavirus situation, and I am expecting further cancellations and postponements - I will post updates as and when I get them.
-I will also be transferring all private music lessons to online sessions for the time being, to reduce social contact and risk. If you are interested in online piano or singing lessons, esp...ecially during this time of reduced social contact and isolation, do get in touch! As you can imagine, it is incredibly stressful being self-employed at the moment.
-Currently, I am still having to go into schools to work for financial reasons, though I am taking every precaution while I am there. Because of this, I am now doing my best to avoid other social situations and to make sure I am not putting others at risk. Please be aware that I am still coming into contact with lots of people at the moment and take your own precautions, too.
-Lastly, I am working on another blog for those of us with heightened anxiety during this stressful period - it is not a good time for anyone, including fellow death anxiety sufferers! My own mental health is suffering quite badly, but I am hoping to find ways to navigate this period.
