Chilli pan mee is one of the most popular Malaysian Chinese cuisine. Authentic chilli pan mee is a bowl of dry pan mee (flat flour noodles) served with minced pork, anchovies, fried onions and topped with a poached egg. Another key ingredient in a bowl of chilli pan mee is the dry chilli mix that is served alongside the noodles.

We, Jerica’s kitchen, offer a slightly different chilli pan mee experience. Our chilli pan mee is served with some savoury meat, mushrooms that are stir fried to fragrant, fried onion, topped with hard-boiled egg and garnished with some chopped scallions. To complete the dish, we are also giving a half-boiled egg for which is stirred into the noodles to add a smooth texture to the springy and chewy noodles. Our chilli pan mee is flavoured with crispy and spicy roasted chilli paste. Needless to say, the spicy chilli paste will have the chilli lovers begging for more!

To savour, just toss everything together! When the chilli paste, runny egg yolk and other crispy condiments are mixed together, it forms an addictive, savoury sauce which bathes the noodles. It’s total perfection!
