Hope this message makes it to the Good Samaritan known only as “D”!

The cafe’s lost property box currently has enough glasses to rival any opticians! If you’ve recently lost a pair they may be here!

Since February a small team of volunteers have been making and selling dog biscuits from the cafe to raise funds for a number of animal charities. So far they have raised £1000 which has been shared amongst five different charities: New Hope Animal Rescue, Hessas Homeless Hounds, Animal Samaritans, World Animals Voice & Humanimal.
We just want to say well done Biscuit Team and thank you to everyone who has bought one - you're awesome! Here's to the next £1000 raised!

Though the apples remind us it's now autumn with this hot sun and beautiful blue sky it definitely still feels like summer! Beautiful out here at Jeskyns today ☺

To the person that fly tipped this rubbish in one of our entrances between 2pm and 5pm yesterday afternoon we have cleared your waste for you and found a £20 note in the process. We hope it dropped out of your pocket. #instantkarma 😁

User

We are aware that overnight large amounts of fly tipping have appeared on the 2 public byways that cross Jeskyns. We are liaising with the local authorities to try and get it cleared ASAP, but in the meantime If you are walking in this area please take extra care.

Memory Walk in aid of Alzheimers Society Friday 14th September. We all seem to know someone affected by this horrible condition so please do support this great cause.

The Jeskyns fairies and elves have been overwhelmed by the number of fabulous gifts you have left them this weekend and have asked me to say a big thank you! They have kept some but would like to share some with you which they have hidden around their village. Please do feel free to select a gift to take home with you. 😊🧚‍♂️❤️

User

lovley place to visit even had cows and sheep there to, witch was lovley to see went with some friends and their dog and the amount of dog poo left on the floor was disgusting, very nice area and enclosed for the dogs to run around and play and even have a little lake to cool the dogs off will definitely be back there shortly

User

Went there for first time and was very impressed. Great space for walking the dogs - particularly on the grass tracks - which were good for one of our dogs who has difficulty walking too far on concrete or gravel paths following a spinal cord injury. A country park for everyone. Really loved it. Will definitely tell

friends and will go again.

Visited yesterday for the first time. What a lovely place . Our dog had a great time and we really enjoyed the walk, so much so that after a nice cup of coffee at the cafe we went round again. Will definitely be returning, my grandaughter has told me she wants to see the Gruffallo!

User

This is a wonderful place for the dog. We’ve been enjoying Jenkins for many years. The addition of the great little cafe is splendid. Hard-working staff throughout the woodland make for a friendly, well-maintained place for all to enjoy. The young farmers’ bringing such lovely rare breeds and others add interest to a fascinating venue. Thanks so much.

User

Such a lovely place. Love all the kids playgrounds, sculptures especially the Gruffalo, the cafe,Fairy trail. Such a lovely place!!

User

Lovely park loads to do but quite nice and flattish. I am currently on crutches but the terrain was pretty friendly for me. My dog had a great off-lead walk, my 10 year old son loved running around and the play bits. For such a busy park (which is great to see) the parking was reasonable and accessible plus the place was lovely and clean. We will definitely be back!

User

Just come back from here and we had a fabulous time. My 4 year old daughter loved the Highway Rat trail and playing in the parks. Her favourite part was the fairy garden which she loved. Having a cup of tea and muffin before home time rounded the day of nicely.

User

Great place to immerse yourself in nature and learn more about native plants and animals in the UK. Fun and imaginative activities to engage kids - for eg. The Fairy and Elf Village, the interactive Gruffalo hunt using the app, and the playground constructed from wood. I loved walking along the gravelled flat tracks enjoying open spaces, felt totally re-energised. Try crunching on the crisp apples grown in on site orchards for an organic taste experience! Hope the local communities keep supporting the rangers and enjoying this precious woodland community space for years to come. I wish I had this woodland experience on my doorstep in Australia. On my next trip to England, I'll be back. in the meantime, I highly recommend Jeskyns to Aussie friends and family visiting Kent. Go Jeskyns!

User

Great place and my dogs loved it to!!!

User

Great open space to take my dog's and they get so excited when we come here. Good long walk and see some of the wildlife.

User

First time visiting here today and my two loved it! Ollie was pleased because he found loads of painted rocks lol. Staff in the cafe were lovely and the toilets were clean

User

Brilliant place for walking your dog, running, horse riding, playing with the children and having a walk.

We use it nearly every day, if you buy a yearly pass, the car parking is greatly reduced.

User

Best park I went to. Huge open space, woods, closed spaces for training dogs. Cafe a bit expensive but lovely.

User

A lovely friend took me and my two kids there today. What an am amazing find. Beautiful walks, views, lovely cafe and the guffalo trail, fairy walk and play areas kept my kids entertained for hours. I would highly recommend jeskyns to families, dog walkers and anyone who loves space and the outdoors.

User

love this place & so does my dog.

But something need to be done with the inconsiderate malamute owners. They brush their dogs in the fields & allow their dogs to run in packs which is very intimidating to other dogs including mine. Getting so fed up with it and every time I speak to other walkers they say the same.

Every Sunday they take over the exercise area and no one wants to go in there because of the amount of malamutes and huskies. My dog is scared out her mind now. She can’t go near one because she keeps being pinned down and cornered by them. Only today she was cornered by the pond and the owner assumed it was playing, I have a staffy. Who luckily just runs and cowards. But if she bit back it would be “typical staff”

If your planning to take your dog to the exercise area for a run on a Sunday. DONT until they are gone as your dog will be chased by about 10 Mali’s until it’s pinned to the floor whilst all the owners stand there.

Also there are lots of poo bins but not enough waste bins across the park. So I’m seeing coffee cups everywhere. Would be nice if there was some actual bins in the park.

Though I do love the park especially the pond and walking through the woods.

User

We love walking our dog here at weekends it’s great for of lead walk areas. There are inconsiderate people that do not pick up there dog mess. Which is very annoying when you happen to tread in it or your dog treads in it. Everyone is responsible for cleaning up there dogs mess.

User

Love this place and so do my 3 huskies. It's great for all types of dogs, there are safe exercise pens for less social dogs or dogs that just want run off so it's safe for all or if yours are fine like mine just let them off to run. Great for kids too with parks to entertain them. The only downside is the £1.50 charge you have to pay whether you stay all day or just 1 hour, it would be a lot fairer to have different fares for the length of time spent there.

User

I tend to walk in the park on most days, it certainly is well managed. I deducted 1 star due to inconsiderate dog owners, some of the dogs are out of control and should not be allowed off their leads.

User

Took my 17 week old malamute pup there yesterday. 2 stars because of inconsiderate dog owners. Firstly lazy owners not picking up their dogs poo, so I deducted 1 star, you have to be careful where you stand . Secondly whilst walking my malamute pup yesterday (on lead) he was attacked by a pit bull terrier, which was off lead. Luckily my pup was fine, but if owners aren't able to keep their dogs under control at all times then they should not be let off lead!! .. especially when the owner of the pit bull was very opologetic saying his dog took a dislike to my pups breed but was fine with all other dogs, which meant he knew when seeing my pup problems may occur but took no action until the incident happened. For this I've deducted 2 stars. I'll be going back and giving it another go but it needs to be more controlled there and owners more aware.
