This beauty is for sale! This table is gorgeous, the reclaimed hardwood top is the smoothest softest dark, with reds and deep pinky reds ruining through it. The underframe is made from tulip wood and hand painted. . It is finished with Osmo UK oil, 3 coats! .... DM for more info

If you have a tree felled or fallen, On your land or in your garden. Save it from being turned into firewood by calling us in to mill it! You can have planks of beautiful timber instead! Our #alaskanmill is mobile so we can come to your tree rather than trying to get your tree to us! This was a large yew tree which was too close to a listed barn (in the background -what a beauty) and had to be felled to save the barn.

For sale 🌿 we have a few of these lovely Reclaimed tropical hardwood table tops available, and Jim has made a tulip wood underframe, we can paint the underframe and legs in any colour, we can even join 2 together to make a bigger dining table! Please DM us if you'd like one. This one is a lovely popping yellow, bright for spring!

We know that standalone kitchen island units add storage, extra worktop space, loadd of style and plenty of smart features. The clients came to us for this shaker style beauty! Being totally bespoke means that we are not restricted by anything, materials, size, style, colour... You name it and we can probably make it!

#Pink walk in wardrobe anyone?! . This child's bedroom had been newly decorated in light green and a new Cherise pink carpet laid when we were called in to design and make a walk in wardrobe and desk and bookshelf without damaging the new decoration! . The wardrobe and shelves were made in the workshop but the 2 stud walls had to be made and fitted on site very, very carefully. We were thrilled with the result, not the best photos, I know but you can get a sense for the proje...ct. . The lucky little girl loves to show off her 'magic wardrobe' @ Bristol, United Kingdom

Wardrobes or smalldrobes! This cute pair were made small for a petite room which meant they were almost impossible to photograph in situ! I roped in my sister @samayalingvintage and took them to her house to photograph (her place gets used for lots of shoots and it's such an amazing place I am lucky) but the room is mahoosive so the wardrobes look strange and too small in the room! Can't win! But they are gorgeous. And at least they are all in the photograph! Cooker hoods... The joy of having your kitchen bespoke means you can hide your extractor hood in an overmantel like here, designed not to impact on the scheme of this kitchen. What did the clients have to say about this kitchen: "Every time we walk into the kitchen it puts a smile on our faces! Thanks Jim" T & I, cleeve. More of their lovely testimonial on our website, link in bio ⬆️

Taking photos of this wardrobe today, it's actually not quite finished as is what happens when you make pieces for yourself! But we want to show the pictures to a client who is interested in this style so I'm taking photos today! . This is our wardrobe, more to follow but it's birch plywood oak veneer interior, oak backed finger pull handles, hand painted in Tikkurila paint, chalk colour which is simply gorgeous and my new favourite paint (what is it with me and favourites at the moment!) . #bedroominterior #myfavourite #tikkurila #chalk #wardrobe #handmadebristol #bedroomdecor #homedesign #scandiboho #oakhandles #smallbusinessbristol #interiorismo #instabizweek #interior123 #plywoodfurniture #oakveneeredbirchply #plywood

Here is the finished bright yellow table! The top is reclaimed tropical hardwood - possibly jarrah. They were old cafe tables. The legs and under-frame are made from tulip wood and can be painted in any colour. Get in touch if you would like to own one!

Understairs joy. We are currently making an understairs unit for a gorgeous house in Fishponds and as it's been ages since we have shown one I thought I'd post this one today. Such a lot of useful storage!

We have some absolutely gorgeous reclaimed cafe table tops that we wanted to use, so I got Jim to make a simple under frame for one of them, which I am painting. I chose the brightest yellow! It is going to look amazing when the table is together - watch this space!

Own a piece of Bristol's heritage! Last 4 side tables made from the historic lock gates taken from Bristol harbour.
This reclaimed timber has been submerged for over 130 years! The gates were installed in the north junction lock (by the The Pump House, Bristol ) in 1870s and Bam Nuttal replaced them.
Jim Sharples Furniture was commissioned to make two large benches out of the old gates, which are positioned down on the dockside. Go and sit on them!
... It is heavy, it is dark and it is gorgeous!
DM if you are interested in one of these.

How to save money on your dream kitchen!
Use a local cabinet maker!
We have had clients who have been to high end high street kitchen showrooms and have got quotes and ideas but have come to us and found our service to be more bespoke, more affordable and the results to be better quality. Summed up nicely in this testimonial:
... “We would like to say how pleased we are with both the service and the quality of our new bespoke kitchen built and installed by Jim Sharples and his team. We had looked at the kitchens available at a number of the specialist bespoke kitchen showrooms in Clifton but we feel that in using Jim Sharples Furniture we have a kitchen which equals or surpasses those that we viewed and at a significant cost saving! Jim came up with some excellent suggestions in terms of design and ideas for finishing touches. Every time we walk in the kitchen it puts a smile on our faces, thanks Jim” Ian & Tracey
We focus on one project at a time and we design it, make it, paint it and we fit it ourselves so we are there at every stage of the project and our attention to detail is second to none. Oh and we take the @bristolpound!
Over on Instagram we are taking part in the #instabizweek with Kimba Digital Marketing a challenge sharing a different theme about our business everyday for a week Today’s theme is TOP TIP.

Who wouldn't want to wash up here?

What a calm work space this is. We transformed this room earlier in the year. The white painted shelves leave the room bright and open and provide loads of storage.

What Jim Sharples doesn't know about wood isn't worth knowing! Lovely guy to work with too. Awesome attention to detail.
