What would you do when a customer rings and telling you their mowers broke at 6PM on a Friday evening? Well we hop in the van and crack on and get them back up and running ASAP😎 farmers rely on us to keep them going. Who wanted to go to the pub anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️

That’s Edd’s intercooler pipework completed, easy and simple routing after going back to standard inlet. Half the fuel system is done as well. Awaiting the last few bits and that’s another job off the list 👌🏼

The look on some customers faces when you tell them how much something is going to cost and even how much the total is. But what they don’t see it the amount of work that’s gone into it at times. Like for instance this bit of custom intercooler piping.
1️⃣Step one measure and cut what’s needed to be done. For this I needed a tight 90. Quite simple this time. 2️⃣Pie cut it so you get a 90 which you desire. ... 3️⃣Grind, file to get rid of excess material 4️⃣Make sure surface is flat ready to butt up to next pie piece for a nice weld 5️⃣Tape in order what’s going where else you’ll need 4 hands instead of two. 6️⃣Wire wheel spots to tack weld on both sides 7️⃣Remove tape and wire wheel around the rest of the joint to make sure it’s perfectly clean for welding 8️⃣Dab some dimes all the way round making sure you’ve got good penetration while cleaning as you go 9️⃣Go back to the car and fit and cut the previous piece to butt up to the new bit you’ve just made mark up where it needs to be welded and take back to the bench clean and weld up 🔟Wait to cool and test fit and hope your work fits as you’d like it to.
AND THIS WAS THE EASY SIDE
All of that just for a bit of hard piping. Hard piping as much as you can on the intercooler has all the pros and only con I can think of is it’s expensive to replace so moral of this story is don’t f***in crash. Pros - ⚫️Less horrible silicon joints to pop off under boost ⚫️Can route it a lot tighter then you can ever buy ⚫️Looks a lot better
So next time you turn your nose up and someone’s prices just take a step back and just think what works involved and it’s not just every Tom Dick and Harry which can offer that sort of skill set.
I can’t wait to get the 1JZ powered Toyota Sorer finished so Edd LLoyd from Teamlegless can get out on track in his practice car for the first time in years! And no he’s not the one moaning about the prices ether 🤟🏼😂

Small patch for a MOT failure this morning. Wire wheeled back to where it was good metal. Cut out and new piece cut shaped and welded back in. Brush of sealer and a quick prime ready for customer to decided if she wants to get it skimmed with a slight bit of filler and painted.
... At least she won’t have to worry about it again 👌🏼
We’ve seen some work in the past from “welders” who’ve done patch work and it’s amazing how they get away with it.

Gearbox on a caddy SDI Common problem with lack of oil on these. Fully reconditioned box and a quick clean up of the engine bay due to oil everywhere!
Customer needed a van to carry on with his work luckily we offer a courtesy van. Nothing special but it still keep you doing the job you need!

Early evening recovery, it was only on its way to us to have a after hour brake pad change but it turned into some thing a little more serious with a message for a urgent recovery. There within the hour ✅ Loaded and customer dropped home within two✅
