Went to Joanna's for our wedding anniversary meal last night. Very enjoyable experience. Food (starter=chicken liver parfait, mains=bream & crab risotto and mackerel, and dessert=sticky toffee pudding) was all excellent. Pleased with the service. Restaurant itself had an old-timey, classy feel. Will definitely be back.

Such a fantastic night. The staff are wonderful and did everything to ensure we had a lovely night. We've been here a few times and it's hard to go elsewhere in CP.

Bit of a wobble with songs on repeat but the staff fixed it. Love this place.

Place is consistently outstanding! Small tweaks to the menu every now & then to stop it getting stale. Good, short wine list, always intelligently paired with the food on offer. There's just nothing bad to say about the place. Butternut squash risotto that they have at the moment is fabulous. Been coming for years, I love the place

On Saturday 8th October we went to Joanna's to celebrate a family occasion, dining earlier than usual to accommodate the youngest in our party of 9 people, aged between 7 and 70, and all with individual tastes. This was reflected in the wide range of dishes that we ordered. From the moment we arrived we received friendly and efficient service from all the staff, that was not intrusive. All the dishes arrived at the same time and there was no undue wait. Everyone one of us enjoyed our chosen dishes, including the children. It all added up to us having a very enjoyable evening together.

Joannas is just the best. Went there yesterday for lunch. Perfect. I think that person previously who stated had to wait ages was either at another restaurant or just gave a deliberate bad review for what ever reason. Have been going there for 15 years Service and food always first class.

I went for brunch and bellinis with my family and it was exquisite! They serve it till about 4pm which is great. Highly recommend this place if you are in south london and love delicious food! ���

I loved eating here:) staff friendly , polite , food was amazing .. really enjoyed my haddock and chips .. followed by a tasting plate of the puddings . I would go again. I would highly recommend .. lovely atmosphere also .

I had a Sunday lunch with my friends at Joanna’s and it was so tasty. Great place with lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff! Will definitely be going back soon

Had a lovely brunch there with one of my very best friends. Really enjoyed it, but I would come back again and again for the vegetarian brunch with the perfectly fine poached eggs, halloumi,avocado and fried potatoes. Yum.

Fantastic!! Well executed and reasonably priced cocktails kicked off a lovely leisurely Birthday lunch. beautiful creamy spicy arancini, seared sesame tuna just perfect. Mains were equally perfect, great dessert and cheese board. One of the great things about Joanna's is the efficient professional service, it really is very very good. Love the choice of wine that is available as 125/250/500ml as well as standard 750ml. All round a super experience. For the quality of the ingredients and cooking and professional service this is not expensive, prices are pitched just right.

Always been my favourite restaurant but I feel it’s a shame the lunch menu seems to have shrunk and the starters on offer felt lazy. That said service, food quality and atmosphere are always on point.

A wonderful classic restaurant with exceptional food and service. Thank you for making my husbands 50th birthday a little bit extra special with a birthday dessert. The creme brûlée is the best I’ve had and booth ‘99’ is a great little touch.

Ate here yesterday and had the very reasonably priced Christmas menu. My friend thought the mini fish cakes were rather bland but the rest of the meal was excellent - particularly the Veggie Wellington. The drinks are a little over priced, particularly as we had to wait for them notwithstanding we were early diners. Apparently we couldn't be trusted with a carafe of water so had to keep asking for more, a tad annoying. Still a decent place to eat

Had to ask for the table to be cleaned between courses, the espresso martini was too watered down, the assumption with the service charge and the add on for the charity they support but truly lacked incentive

We had a waiter that was very rude for no reason, I asked for a side plate which he didn't seem to like. Gave me a very hot plate without warning, that I nearly dropped because it was so hot!! Then he questioned just when we had taken the service charge off (we was actually was going to pay that with cash) he stormed off and started talking to the manager who didn't seem to care at all!! I will never come back again and would tell others to go else where too!!
