There’s a certain unmistakable quality to Joelby’s music.
It all started off making mixes for friends’ house parties. To accommodate an increasing number of fans, in 2007 these mixes were published online when podcasts were still a relatively new phenomenon. With the simultaneous increase in popularity of podcasts, it wasn’t long until the popularity of Joelby’s Funky Vocal House exploded from a small group of downloads to reaching the top of podcast charts all over the world. Maintaining to this day the same ethos of only full length hands in the air floor fillers, his podcasts have now been downloaded well over a million times and are still a staple of road trips, gym sessions and house parties everywhere.
It was an inevitable yet unintended progression that eventually got Joelby behind the decks for the first time. Bringing the same unmistakable sound to clubs and dance parties was always what was bound to happen, and soon the loyal podcast listeners were following him to clubs and parties around the world.
