Itโ€™s been a weekend of wallpapering. I am SO SO happy with this paper in the dining area. Absolutely perfect in this particular space, for bringing the garden into the house. Works beautifully against Cornforth White walls and a Hague Blue kitchen. Can you spot the ladybird, bumblebee & dragonfly?

Wallpaper in place for this new family room. I am SO delighted with it. The colours are rich and warm, teamed beautifully with Inchyra Blue paint. Carpet in next week. *It will be ready for Christmas. It will be ready for Christmas. It will be ready for Christmas.*

Want 15% discount on lighting from Industville? Then see the link in my previous post. I am so happy with the lighting in this kitchen. The customer service I received has been amazing. I needed a bespoke design for one of the lamps which other companies were unable to find a solution for. However, a quick sketch from me and a conversation with the team at Industville, and they found a perfect and inexpensive answer. I would 100% recommend this company if you are looking for industrial style vintage lighting. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

๐ŸŒWe are all guilty of throwing too much away, me especially, after the amount of tip runs I have done this year. I am always conscious of this & try to use sustainable & ethically sourced design into rooms where I can.
๐ŸŒToday I up-cycled some scaffolding planks to make some rustic, chunky shelving for my own kitchen. Itโ€™s super easy so I thought I would share. It may make you consider sustainable furniture next time you purchase something!
๐ŸŒCheck my Instagram Stories to see how I did it. @thenewfrontwall

Knowing what you want, and finding what you want, can be frustrating & time consuming.
Antique brass taps were definitely on the โ€œwantโ€ list but finding the sink strainers to compliment them was a mission.
Donโ€™t compromise on your vision, there is always a solution out there somewhere!

Patterned tiled flooring can add drama & personality into a room, but you will need to consider what type of tile would suit you best.
Did you know that encaustic tiles need sealing to combat their porous nature. This prevents them staining.
However, these Utility Room tiles are porcelain so are good to go, no treating needed.
... Regardless of the material, choosing the pattern is ALWAYS the hardest decision. ๐Ÿ˜Š

A nice little mention about the downstairs WC I recently designed from Victorian Plumbing.

Farrow & Ball Hague Blue kitchen units make the antique brass handles pop. And I am a sucker for a butler sink. Who wants a new kitchen for Christmas? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Excited to see the 9 new Farrow & Ball colours, launched last night.

BANCHA, ... JITNEY, PAEAN BLACK, PREFERENCE RED, DE NIMES, SULKING HOUSE PINK, SCHOOL HOUSE, RANGWALI, TRERON.
I absolutely love DE NIMES, An elegant blue that is wonderfully down to earth, it is inspired by the cloth of everyday workwear originally made in the French city of the same name.
Also TRERON, a dark green version of Farrow & Ball classic Pigeon, hence being named after the green variety of the same species.
Which is your favourite?

I loved attending the seminars today. I learnt lots about working in the design industry, lighting rooms beautifully, the colour trends for Autumn/Winter 2019/20 and how technology in our homes is changing the way we live. Itโ€™s exciting to think that technology and thoughtful design are helping older people live in their own homes for longer.
