Spent ages trawling websites re a new Touring Bike, couldn't decide so popped into Atkins and within 1/2 hour had new bike on order. Helpful and friendly staff and the bike set up showed I had been riding with seat far too high for years - great and far more comfortable. Family has now have had 3 Ridgeback bikes from them. Cant recommend them enough.

When we visited John Atkins, the customer service was informative, enthusiastic, and accommodating. Although we did not buy a bike in the end, this was from recognition of the practicalities of our situation (we were flitting through and live somewhere distant). I would not hesitate to recommend the shop and anticipate using them in different circumstances in the future.

Excellent cycle shop. Good range of bicycles with very knowledgeable staff. Not the cheapest place but usually prepared to negotiate on price and in any case worth the extra for the first class service
