Who wouldn’t be in love with a pub that’s welcoming, comfortable and stacked to the rafters with the finest Harvey’s brews.

We visited for dinner on Saturday and basically my children want to come back for more chips... we had nachos to start. I had burger and chips, the kids had fish & chips each and it was all delicious!

It was unexpectedly busy in the pub but the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Lovely little pub in a lovely little town.

Visited Lovely Lewes for the first time yesterday. Good decision as we were able to visit the pub. Great selection of locally brewed Cask Ale. Didn't eat but the advertised food looked excellent. Had a nice chat with one of the Barmaids, who was very friendly. Great to see that the pub is dog friendly and a Pug and Hungarian Vizsla were in attendance. Hope to visit again in the near future.

User

The most delicious roasts! And we had them all! Cauliflower cheese & sticky toffee pudding to die for. Outstanding service and gorgeous environment. We live in Brighton but this will be our first stop. Thank you!

User

Popped in here for lunch (as there aren't many child friendly places to eat here in Lewes) and they were very attentive to my sons needs. Made him something that wasn't on the menu and even gave him some ice cream with a flake for his birthday. Friendly staff , great service. Yummy food!

On our way back to Essex from Brighton we decided to stop in this beautiful town . We were so lucky to stop in this beautiful gastro pub . Selection of ales , gin and stunning food . I opted for fish and chips and other three selected the ploughman with their award winning pork pie . All to die for. The landlady made us feel so welcome and left us as if we were her friends . Highly recommend this lovely venue . Just wish we had more of these places in Essex . Thank you again x

Made a booking to get my table, perfect, food good, good atmosphere with people who like a lunchtime drink and know how to behave, staff could not be more helpful.

User

Lovely quaint pub with friendly staff food fantastic sandwiches bread so soft and fresh we all had different filling and all . A must to visit when in Lewes.

User

Incredible vegan burger in a super cute traditional English pub, really unexpected! 😍

User

Had a wonderful evening here when we were in Lewes for the weekend.Truly wonderful food with a fantastic range of cask ales from the Harvey's brewery. The staff were helpful and very friendly which helped make it a night to savour.Fantastic!

User

Great tasting local beer, couple of real winners.

A nice historic building down a quiet street.

The meal I had was a classic pub grub dish, generous, fresh product and drowning in a rich beautiful brown ale gravy.

Friendly staff and locals, I would definitely recommend popping in for a pint of Harvey's best.

User

Great ale. Lucky if u live in Lewes to have this gem which has the feel of an old drinking establishment without the low beams that tall chaps like me might dent.

User

Great Lewes pub and beer. Had our wedding reception upstairs in 1999. Always have a Harvey’s when I am back!

User

Firm favourite. My mate had steak and I had a ploughmans. Both substantial and well presented.

Good selection of ales (it being the brewery pub), and fine choice of wine too.

Staff were engaging and quick to display a sense of humour.

If the waterside car park opposite became their garden then everything would be right with the world. I don't think that'll happen but what is there is great and you are in the middle of the great little town of Lewes with everything that has to offer.

User

A warm welcome, attentive and knowledgeable staff. A great pint of Harvey's Armada and pork pie lunch. Other sandwiches where excellent ( my wife recommends bacon an Brie). All in all a great place to stop and lunch before exploring lewes and the brewery shop.

User

500 mile round trip to drink the finest ale! In a fantastic pub.

Harveys brew quality ale, the Best Bitter was fantastic yesterday. Well worth the effort to visit.

Not sure why the powers that be are now producing tins and keg, which are simply rubbish in my opinion! Bit like Rolls Royce going into washing machines!

User

Visited before upstairs was impeccable! Food and service tip top. Visited bar today and gin and tonic was poor. My favourite gin but no ice and fruit... and general unprofessionalism, shame.

User

Good beers, good service. Looks like they have some Harveys on tap here that you would struggle to find elsewhere. Just over the road from the brewery shop.

User

First time we visited Lewes but already knew there was a brewery. The tavern is welcoming with friendly staff, the lunchtime food was amazing - smoked ham and cod gougons sandwiches were absolutely delicious so we will be back to try more. The only reason I didn't give the tavern a 5 star was due to the toilets; toilet bowl was clean but floor, skirting board ridges need a thorough clean - hope the cleanilness of the kitchen didn't reflect the toilets! Sorry, just being honest.
