I offer a service for Raku parties /events that involves me coming to your home or premises with all the materials and equipment needed for an exciting experience. I will provide the pots, pigments, glazes etc you just need to provide a suitable place such as a patio, carport or any space that has a reasonably firm flat surface and your imagination.

Raku involves firing pots very quickly [between 1 /2 and 1 hour] to approximately 900 degrees centigrade, removing the red hot pots from the kiln and burying them in combustible materials such as sawdust. dry leaves or shredded paper. This can give a variety of surfaces from crackle to lustres with no two pots ever being exactly the same. Please look at my photo's for examples of Raku fired work
