A huge thanks to Nigel Ashworth who has donated some fantastic paintings to the hospice in memory of his artist wife Jan Wild who received care from our teams. Many of the pictures were created by Jan and others were painted by fellow artists. We will be displaying some in the hospice and others will be raising money for us at our shops.

The staff at John Taylor Hospice cared for my mum for the final two weeks of her life. We honestly could not ask for any more, the care and compassion shown to us all during one of the most difficult times of our lives was unbelievable. Due to the unbelievable care shown to my mum, I became a nurse myself.

Thank you to the incredible staff at John Taylor. I will never forget, your all angels.

Thank you all for making the last two weeks of my Dad, Vic Tambling's, life a lot less stressful and more comfortable for him than Sandwell hospital.

Your place is amazing and I found being able to go out in the garden to get some air and headspace helpful to me.

Your building, staff and volunteers are all a credit to what your set up to achieve and again thank you.

I can't believe he has gone. But the fact the last two weeks, as soul destroying as they were, had been made so much better by the friendly, approachable and more importantly, compassionate people you have who looked after my Dad will always remind me he couldn't have been in a better place.

Thank you all from my Mom Mary, Sister Charlotte, Brother Stephen and me. Oh and to finish off, as my Dad would always joke so I'll let the last comment be his

'Snakes on a plane, what's that about then? ❤️

User

On behalf of Donald Evans family we send our thanks and admiration to such a wonderful team. The support given was overwhelming with each one of you knowing and caring for Dad as best you could. Thursday he passed surrounded by his wife and children and the day was actually made as pain free for all of us as it could be. Special thanks to Judi and Kelli who cared and guided us through stages gave us information when asked, a big thank you to Colin and Paddy, Dad absolutely knew you were there and I know truly appreciated your kind words. On dad passing the patio doors Gently opened !!

To all the staff that looked after him both in the day centre which he loved then in rest bite and over the past three weeks, thank you for giving him dignity, respect and Rice pudding and ice cream !! Xxxxx

Thank you does not seem enough at this time but we will be in touch soon to show our appreciation in other ways, please may we ask this is printed and sent to the teams ??

User

John Taylor Hospice we can't thank you enough for providing the most comfortable care to my dad (Michael Henry Wright) in his last couple of weeks of his life. Dad passed away yesterday 25 March at 07:00 peacefully. Yesterday was the longest hardest and one of the most upsetting days of my life but I do know that my dad is now at peace as he suffered for 20+ years who was cared for by my mom until he was admitted to the hospice. Dad you may be gone but you certainly won't be forgotten. R.I.P love you more than words can say your daughter Wendy xx

User

John Taylor Hospice is at the moment looking after a friend of mine, and I have to say what an amazing place it is. Everyone that works there are so caring and lovely. I would like to thank you all.

User

How can we thank you enough.. my lovely Dad Ray Bicknell didn't make it into your lovely hospice, he was very poorly at the end and chose to stay at home... thats where his angel Phillipa stepped in.. she came to assess Dad and realised just how poorly he was.. that wonderful lady stayed with us all afternoon and sorted all his meds to make his final hours comfortable, she knew exactly what he needed, arranged all the paperwork for the district nurses to be able to administer those most precious meds, organising everyone and everything and giving us much needed advice... without Phillipa Dads last night would have been unbearable for us all.. instead Dad had a peaceful night free from pain and fear... I cant express how grateful our family are.. the care and pure professionalism of this wonderful lady were second to none xxx you are one special lady and part of a wonderful team... thank God for people like you xxx

Amazing place!! Our last few days with my wonderful mother in law was made as comfortable and peaceful as possibly in such devastating circumstances, due to the wonderful caring and empathic staff members!! We were made to feel extremely welcome and were able to treat it like our home!! Also, both us and our loved one were treated with the utmost respect, from our arrival, to her last breath and beyond!!! We, as a family will be eternally thankful, and my husband from the funeral up until this day has raised funds a few times, as way of showing gratitude!!! Thank you to each and everyone involved in the running of this establishment.... you are all amazing!!!!
