"Very tired, just got home. Got paid; smell like bacon."
... This is an email I just sent my wife.
Because, for the first time since December 2016, i got some wages. Not much; and yes i've had to take a job in a non vegan kitchen.
But I've got paid.
Johnny V's was hard. So very hard. I personally invested quite a bit of money into the business and i never took any wages.
But we didn't do it for the ­¤Æ░­¤Æ░­¤Æ░­¤Æ░.
I miss every single dang one of my customers; especially the extra craaaaaaazy ones :) :) :).
2017 was probably the best year of my life so far, and i was so happy to share it with all of you.
So we're going to do it all over again. I don't know how, or where, or what (or when!) But we will return someday.
In the meantime, don't forget to support as many independent businessesŌĆŗ as you can, whether that's a cafe or other food outlet (Paula's Vegan Bakery, The Art House, Cafe Thrive, Flying Aubergine, Offbeet, Curb: The Real Junk Food Project Southampton, Goswell and Milne to name just a few great ones) or a hardware store, or a bike shop or a pub or tap room.
Whatever it might be; support the independent.
Because we don't do it for money. We do it because we love it and we love all our customers.

You may have noticed we haven't posted much about Christmas opening times or a Christmas menu yet.
This is because, unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to close Johnny V's Gosport at the end of December.
Running Johnny V's Gosport has been a really good first step and we've learned an awful lot but ultimately we're losing money and have decided to shut now before getting further into debt.
... I know you will all be devastated by the news ­¤śØ but don't fret, we have plans to open somewhere bigger and better next year in some form or another.
We're not too sure what/how/when/where this will be but we will keep the Johnny V's page up so please watch this space for more info. We have a few plans and ideas bubbling so as soon as we know, we'll let you all know.
I'd like to personally say how amazing everyone has been with their support. We have met lots of amazing, inspirational people and hope to see y'all down the road.
Our last day is planned to be 23rd December. Although we won't now be stamping any more loyalty cards, we will be offering a 5% discount per stamp you already have on any purchase from now until our closing date. Alternatively there is no time limit on these cards so if you wish you will be able to use the card at our new place (whatever/wherever that may be).

Just so you know, we're not serving pizza or burgers today due to yesterday's rush.
However, we do have breakfast wraps, chilli wraps, chilli and nachos and all day breakfasts. And we will have sausage rolls by lunch time too.

So err, we've pretty much run out of food!
Today has been ridiculous, I thank you all so so much for coming in and supporting us.
... I am sorry if service was a little slower than usual for some of you, but hopefully you all enjoyed your food and drink (and enjoyed watching me on the edge of a nervous breakdown ­¤ś£) I absolutely loved making it for you ­¤śü­¤śüŌØż’ĖÅŌØż’ĖÅŌØż’ĖÅ
Anywho, although i haven't yet figured out exactly what we're serving tomorrow, as we're a little low on supplies, most of our menu will be off and we'll be doing some sort of curry special instead.
As soon as i know what we're serving, you'll know too.
