Highlights of another great year at the JC 😊

What a lovely pub! Lunch was excellent and I wish I had ordered a bottle of the Vermentino instead of the glass (it was so good)! Melanie, who served us, was exceptional. Overall, the staff made us feel very welcome to the village. My son would love this place - he likes cricket and there is a teddy bear in the corner of the pub dressed up as a cricketer!

Went yesterday for the first time. The food was fantastic and the staff were great despite how busy it was. They had a live singer on who was great too. Will be back for sure.

Went for lunch today with our three year old toddler in tow � but nothing was too much trouble. Offered games straight away, staff so friendly and accommodating. Fire was on with some festive music. Food fab. Shame we aren't in walking distance as could of quite easily stayed all afternoon.

We both enjoyed our meal, loved the pub and found everyone very friendly plus our waitress knew exactly the menu...couldn't ask for more. Thanks

Excellent food and service. A proper local feel to this place with a buzzing Sunday afternoon atmosphere that can be enjoyed by young and old. The live music today was incredible - my 11 year old now wants an electric acoustic guitar and amp!

Cracking pub for lunch, local beer and fresh food - go for the specials as its all seasonal stuff. Staff were lovely but a bit thin on the ground.

Unfortunately our pork was pink and went back to be cooked a little more ... then two more dinners appeared the pork a little more cooked but still on the watery side and very pale but at least not pink! the veg was cold by this time and I had no crackling and we had to ask twice for a jug of water! The squid starter however was yummy.

I was surprised as the pub has won so many awards!

Terribly disappointing! 40 minutes late seating a family of 6 with reservation only to be told that they were sold out of Sunday roast. Less than impressive dishes and even ran out of vanilla and chocolate ice cream for the kids. If you don't know how to manage your food stocks, don't take so many reservations!
