Had a really nice lunch here today. Crab Sandwich and a Seafood platter on a board, both of which were excellent, tasty, sensibly priced, decent portions, and served over the back bar by a girl with a lovely smile to us on Table 3. Our young Shi Tzu made some new friends in the bar, and we all really enjoyed our short visit. We will return..... Thank you Jolly Fisherman. Just Perfect.

Excellent food and service . Ate at both lunchtime and evening. Would recommend it without hesitation. I was even given the recipe for their wonderful banoffie pie.

Fabulous seafood lunch in their beer garden overlooking the sea. What could be nicer? Interior has clearly had some money spent on it and looked very good. The pub serves the excellent kippers that are smoked across the road. Food yards not miles.

Food very very nice. The fish cakes were stunning - packed full of fish. Crab soup deliciously full of crab. Beef dripping chips amazing. Good range of beers and Chowder hot and tasty. It was busy as always but with some patience we got a table for four. The ordering of food and paying for it took a bit of time being so busy.

Great atmosphere. Very busy over the lunch period, so do expect both a wait to order and for good to arrive. Guinness kept very well. Food good but portions are fairly small. Family friendly and high chairs available. Not pram or wheelchair friendly in section of the pub. Great views. Outside area is lovely if the weather is kind. Parking outside for about 8 cars.

Staying in the village, ate at the J/Sailors three times during the week, for us it was perfect, friendly, great food, fab location, always busy would suggest booking on open table on the net so not to be disappointed.

Who cares that food is a touch too greasy when one eats it on a terrace with the greatest sea view possible? Moreover, after a stroll here, one NEEDS food like salmon salad sandwiches, fish cookies, crab soup.... (We were served by a happy funny man who obviously eats all this himself every day. And con gusto!)

Everyday we went to try get food it was too busy. The food looked amazing. The place is very cosy and nice. The staff and friendly. There are lots of local beers to choose from. I will be back...with a reservation.

Fantastic food and very good service. This place was the highlight of my mini-holiday in Northumberland and I will go back only to eat here 3 times a day!
