Jonathan Diskin is a Musician, Composer, Teacher and Songwriter from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. He undertook an Accelerated degree at the prestigious Leeds College of Music, completing a full degree in just 2 years, and has recently just passed his Masters in Music Composition; he is a dedicated and enthusiastic Musician. His Primary instrument is Guitar, with experience on Hammond Organ and Piano, he is very versatile. His main Genre is Blues /Rock although he is adequate at various styles. Looking up to the greats such as Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather Low and Mark Knopfler.

He has learnt under industry greats such as Matt Warnock, Stuart McCallum, Steve ‘Roadrunner’ Walker and Keith Appleton. He continues to learn and strive for more knowledge.

Jonathan also has a great understanding of composition for TV and Film. With him choosing this as the specialty of his Masters degree, he has focused on essential skills such as manipulating music around dialogue and targeting hit points. Jonathan completed this study under the industry experts, Neil Myers, Brian Morrell, Phil Lawrence and Oliver Patrice Weder.

Having a kind hearted and enthusiastic nature, he is an ideal teacher for anyone who is thinking of having lessons. With been a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors, with a full DBS check (formerly a CRB); Jonathan is currently teaching a handful of students, he has the ability to break concepts down into digestible chunks.
