My only problem with this college is someone called Ragbhir MChinley. First of all she is very rude and very moody. She is very arrogant and boasts about her expensive holidays. She claims to have x amount in her bank account do I really care ? And she causes you mental torture. On a number of occasions she refuses to mark my assignment which now has jeopardised my given future. The only advice I can give u is stay away from her.

Got my back blown out under the stairs a few years ago. Wonderful experience. Love JCC

I've only been to the open day, teachers seem good, facilities also seem okay. This is just a petty issue but imo the building's colours seem a bit worn out. I also didn't really like the 'one-way' design.

Found my girl here. She's my thing, my wifey, my baby. shes so peng so thanks to the college for providing me the opportunity to doss around and get girls whilst my teachers didn't care. As for the teaching I cant say anything good. SO LADS, BOYS, MANDEM ETC. IF YOU WANT GIRLS GO HERE BUT IF YOU WANT AN EDUCATION HERE ISNT THE PLACE FOR YOU. THANKS

Worst college ever. This collage is more like a social youth centre. I am not going to lie my teachers here where good but the facilities and support it dreadful. BIG advice if you need learning support don't bother coming here Anne Lacey who assured me I will get help in college and when I leave college did not give a shite. When I did try to get help from her she ashored me I will get all the support I need. JUST FOR HER TO SAY ON MY LAST EVER DAY IN COLLEGE I THINK ITS BEST TO CALL THIS NUMBER IF YOU NEED HELP IN UNIVERSITY I CANT HELP. She said she don't know much about this then what is her role,so has no one from Joseph Chamblin gone to university!!!! Also have taken all of my support documents and not given me any back!!!!

This college looks so good on the outside but the inside is something else entirely! The college attracts a lot of losers which makes it hard to study there and it makes me think what are the management doing about this? Please avoid this cesspit unless you want throw a glorious opportunity to achieve one of your main objectives, this place is no all that!

They didn't let me do the A-Levels I wanted to do two years ago >:(

It's a great college but they're so darn stubborn. Thanks to them I'm now stuck in a huge colossal dilemma of having to look for funding to pay to privately sit my desired A-Levels. I refuse to drastically change my career ambitions. GCSEs are not reflective of my true capabilities. I can do anything I set my mind to. Your departments may think "I'll struggle". I think not. I am determined to head for the "longshot" career I want to. I believe that's enough motivation for me to accomplish anything.

Today I encountered a very unplesant event with one of your security guards as a young adult I did not appreciate him addressing me with the term "Yo" as I found it very unprofessional and it just shows the lack of manners the staff have.Secondly what outraged me the most was the tone of voice he spoke to me in it was very aggressive he could've simple pulled me a side to tell me to remove myself from the premises instead he deemed it necessary to call me out in front of a bunch of students to publicly humiliate me which he seemed to find banterous,I will not tolerate such rudeness - Sully

Terrible college, most teachers there get personal with the students, they are lazy and sometimes have no clue as to what they are doing.

They don't allow or prioritize for hard working students into the college, whereas they let in the not so passionate ones. One of the reasons why its a flawed college.

The students there are immature, they have a cultural thing going on, where if not fitting into it, then they make you feel uncomfortable and go ballistic on you.

There's no improvement everyday to help and prepare for university, going to that college is like being in school again.

Went with my school for a taster session and honestly: it's exactly the same as my secondary school. If you want to go to a college and be treated like one = I wouldn't go to JCC. However, if you want to go through secondary school all over again and be treated the same way = then go right ahead.

I don't even have the words to describe this college throughout my first year as a A's student I have felt bullied and cornered by a few members of staff funny that I couldn't complain because of course complaining to a teacher about another teacher is a sin as the teacher is always right oh lovely because the teacher is god sent and us students are always to blame
Throughout my entire time here I have felt like such a failure because of the teachers constant taunts and sarcasm I remember one teacher saying " get out of my face" what a beautiful way to treat a student who was just minding there own business. Been constantly reminded how I am never going to get into university because I am just so thick.one day I cried my eyes out and one teacher just laughed I cant stress enough how crap this college is because of the teachers mind you the dinner ladies are more kinder. SO IF ANYONE IS APPLYING TAKE MY WORD UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR SELF RESPECT THROWN AWAY DO NOT GO THERE! HAD THE WORST EXPERIANCE OF MY LIFE - left college today so hurt I hope the guilt stays with them teachers how made me feel so bad about myself I now have to have several counselling sessions thanks a lot!

I was a student here a few years ago. I posted a negative review of this college but it was removed for unknown reasons.

I will start with the tutors. Most tutors came across disorganised and dispassionate about the subjects they taught. During the lesson it was common for most tutors to go off-topic. Whilst a few tutors were good at their jobs, most were not. I would recommend some of the tutors to get therapy...because I have seen tutors bring their personal problems into the class which is so unprofessional and embarrassing.

Next the students. The students here come from a South Asian/Muslim background. They hold strong cultural views and form these tribal packs. It is difficult to socialise with these students if you are not part of that background. If you stand out, it is likely they will pounce on you like a pack of hyenas. There is also a gang culture problem. Some of these students are disruptive in class and I have seen them bully/harass other students.

The good news is that the college is well built and the library is well equipped. However, the college has a serious OCD problem concerning building maintenance. I understand it needs to be well maintained but there is no need to go crazy. I heard a tutor scream as though the building was on fire when he caught a student chewing gum. I have been to five colleges to study various long/short courses and I have never seen the staff go this crazy. They care more about the building than the students.

Also they spend so much money on those silly plasma television's plastered all over the building. What a waste of money. It is just a silly marketing ploy to show off to visitors/potential students and make them go all flabbergasted.

There was also this cranky student finance officer. I think she was on her periods which might explain her attitude problem. Lots of students complained about her. I wouldn't be surprised if she was fired.

Anyway that's my review. Okay the above may come across as a rant but there is an element of truth to it. It's my experience of this dreadful college.
