Excellent recall by Sapphire, with her human Daryl Harding ­¤śü
Sapphire is a 1yr old Border Collie, with a very fizzy personality who refused to listen/interact with him when outdoors, & would pull on the lead incessantly.
But Daryl has followed my advice & has worked really hard over the past few weeks to achieve this success, & he's now well on his way to turning Sapphire into a well-trained pup.... great job, well done ! ŌØż

PDSA open day, earlier today Ōś║
Spoke to several people about their dogs & problems experienced, & also raised more awareness of BSL.
I had a cuddle with a rescued ferret who was very sweet; they had little hammocks & all clambered in together.... simply adorable ­¤śŹ
... Actress Kate Manning (Jo Grant, sidekick to Jon Pertwee's 'Dr. Who' back in the 70s) was lovely & very down to earth; she came straight over for a good chat, & even signed our BSL petition.
Not sure what Superman's connection to the 'Dr. Who' theme was, but he added some eye candy for the ladies! ­¤śé

Say hello to lovely Reggie, a Border Terrier pup who started his training with Joyful Paws last week.
He pretty slept through the whole of his 1st session, but then more than made up for it this evening & was very lively! ­¤śü
His humans have worked hard with him since last week, & he's already mastered the 'Off' exercise with both food & toys.
... This week he's learned loose-lead walking & recall, which his owners will practise to perfection.

GSD x Malamute puppy Max is growing so fast, but his human Jessica Moseley has been doing him proud & his training is really coming on.
He's very well-behaved, & learns so quickly ŌØż

Would highly recommend , only had 3 sessions so far including todayŌĆÖs and can already see big improvements in both my dogs. Joy is a very lovely, warming lady and would her recommend to anyone.

WeŌĆÖve had 3 training sessions with Joy and can already see really big changes/improvements with our German shepherd! Joys truly amazing at what she does! I canŌĆÖt recommend enough! ­¤śü

We have just had our 5th training session with Joy and I can't praise her enough. She is absolutely brilliant with Archie. Archie responded straight away to her! Joy has given me so much information & guidance it is really making a difference to both Archies & our behaviours. We still have a way to go but with Joys knowledge & professionalism we know we will get there! I will definitely be recommending Joyful Paws Looking forward to our next session. My dog used to be a nightmare on walks, I wasnŌĆÖt confident about letting him off lead because heŌĆÖd only come back when he felt like it! Thanks to Joy educating him AND me, he now has excellent recall. I work very long hours and have always been able to trust Joy to take both of my dogs out for me when IŌĆÖm unable to. I know they couldnŌĆÖt be in safer hands.

Joy looked after our 3 dogs Scooby, Molly and Harley whilst we went on holiday for a week. They loved all the attention, long walks and playing in the garden etc. Joy offered a meet and greet to meet the dogs before we went away on holiday and to ask about dietary requirements the dogs may have had. She kept in touch with lots of pupdates and photos of the dogs whilst we were away. Would highly recommend! ’┐Į

Joy is one of the only people who has actually managed to calm my beloved Ralph down. Before she started he was scared of his own shadow and very agitated. Already in the space of 3 sessions he is showing vast improvements and is no longer barking his whole way through training! Would definitely recommend and very cost-effective, wished I'd done it sooner!

Joy helped us understand and better handle our troublesome lurcher pup. From training initial basic commands to becoming confident enough with our recall to allow lead free walking, Joy covered it all. Joy always provides a full session whether for walking or for consultation.

Joy has helped me to understand my dogs anxieties, she is very much carrot rather than stick so your furry member of the family is in very loving and patient hands......I cannot recommend her highly enough, her love of dogs and rehabilitating them is her main priority and motivation. To see her communicate non verbally with your dog is a thing of beauty. A++++

Joy has been visiting our puppy each week day while we are at work. Our pup, Cooper adores her. She has helped us enormously with tips and support and met with us first to ensure she could understand our needs and so that Cooper already knew her. She has been completely flexible and even helped out on some weekends. We couldn't be more grateful and happy with her support. Our puppy is growing into a lovely young dog with her teaching and affection. Thank you Joy! X

Joy came to my home today to help me train my very large pup and after just one visit and all the advise he is become much easier to handle I know we have a long way to go but my confidence that we will succeed is extremely high thank you ’┐Į

I only met Joy in person tonight as she is helping me with a dog that has been left tp his own devices all his life and chained in a back yard with little to no interaction with anybody and all i can say is she is absolutley amazing. Had a real positive meeting with Chop tonight and i am looking forward to learning more and achieving more and more positive results. Thank you sooooo much Joy xxxx

I have known Joy, my very good friend, for many, many years and I am fortunate enough to have benefitted greatly from her expertise. She helped me to train my first Airedale puppy and with her guidance I learnt a great deal about basic training and body language/calming signals.

I have had a few sessions now with Joy. She is fantastic with my very bouncy and energetic Cockapoo.



Joy is very professional, friendly and expert in what she does. Money well spent.

I first met Joy when I asked her for help in training recalls with my 2 boys, Tiger & Puffin, so they could have the freedom to run off lead. They have now great recalls and enjoy themselves running in the fields and woods together.



She also identified specific attention-seeking behaviour in Puffin, a Staffy x Collie with a typical Collie traits, particularly with regard to his ŌĆśpaw danceŌĆÖ with which heŌĆÖs had me at the vets on more than one occasion, even though I now know his paw is fine ! She helped me to channel his energies in more productive ways than his paw dance and excessive barking for attention.



WeŌĆÖve since become close friends over the years, and our dogs are also the best of friends and enjoy playing together, particularly Puffin & her boy Merlin; theyŌĆÖre an unstoppable force when together!



Thanks to her patience and knowledge, I have learned so much about my boysŌĆÖ behaviour and body language, and there is no-one else to whom I would entrust their care to than Joy.

Had my first session with joy today... Lovely lady... I have learnt a lot... And your furbaby is top of her list and needs... Im so thank full how quick she fit us in... Can't wait for next session... Thanks so much joy... Means the world... Thanks Martin for putting me in touch with her xx
