Importance of thorough regular servicing!
When servicing this boiler we noticed that the combustion was not as it should be (high carbon monoxide) and also there was a restriction to the gasses passing through the heat exchanger. When it was stripped down the reason became clear - there were significant blockages in the flue ways.
The heat exchanger and burner were cleaned and new gaskets fitted. The combustion was then then adjusted - now well within spec.
... The boilers were also treated to some water as they had been running with zero pressure for some time! We had to fit a filling loop as there did not seem to be one anywhere! Both boilers were drained down and their expansion vessels recharged (again, both completely empty).
Both these boilers had supposedly been serviced every year. It just goes to show the importance of doing the job properly.

Complete redesign of a boiler room on Kingston gorse, East preston. Canmore boiler controller allowing weather compensation and load compensation which will control how many boilers fire and the temperature of the water that is heating the radiators to maximise efficiency.
