I am a Right Arm amputee and go to the ', Disablement Services Centre' ( previously 'The Limb Clinic') for consultations and to have new arms built as technology changes or my Arm shape changes etc .
I find the reception staff to be extremely helpful and the 'limb maker,' chap ( Laurence) to be not only helpful and knowledgeable, but gives me confidence that he has a personal pride in making the finished prosthetic something that I or any other out patient going through the same process.
I would say to anyone who is attending for their first appointment and or first prosthetics scan; don't worry, you are in very good hands and your treatment will be the best and you're made as comfortable as possible. . .
