A small and friendly yard run by husband and wife Steve and Julie. We currently have just over 40 horses in training and also run Star Cottage Stud, based in the racing town of Malton.

It was great to get back to back wins for BILL CODY at Redcar on Saturday, but it was under sad circumstances as Eyecatcher sadly lost his life. We send our condolences to connections and wish jockey Phil Makin a quick recovery.
Today SPIRIT OF WEDZA runs at Catterick in the 5:00 under Cam Hardie. Wedza seems to enjoy Catterick and is very consistent, he’s in good form at home and we hope he will go close again today!

Yesterday JUDICIAL ran in the nunthorpe, which was a great achievement in itself. Unfortunately he didn’t jump quickly out of the stalls, which you can’t afford to do among the fastest horses in the world! Today wasn’t his day, but we have no doubt he is capable of running in these races, and he’ll take his chance again in the future.
It was great to see the race with such a thrilling finish as last year, and that it stayed in Yorkshire as well as with Graham Lee who rides m...any of our horses. Well done connections!
Today we stay close to home again at Redcar with two runners.
BILL CODY won last time out over course and distance and we hope he will be competitive again in the 6:30 under Jason Hart, but the race looks hot.
ROLL ON RORY is a new exciting edition to the yard and is on a winning mark. He takes his chance first time for us in the 7:00 under Graham Lee.

Today we head to Thirsk Racecourse with two runners, both for owners Richard and Judy Peck.
I KNOW HOW runs in the 3:05 under Graham Lee. He won at Thirsk in April, and his last run can be discounted as he scoped dirty after the race. We hope he can bounce back to form today as he certainly doesn’t lack ability.
... CHOSEN WORLD runs in the 5:05 under Jimmy Sullivan. He has been staying on and finishing his races with promise but has been slowly away on his last two starts. We hope he jumps out with more urgency today and gives himself the best chance to run a good race.

We’ve had a quiet week so far with no runners due to the last couple of weeks being so busy.
Today we head to Wolverhampton with PLANETARIA in the 4:20 under Cam Hardie.

We have 3 runners today at Redcar, who are all ground dependent as they want good ground, but all have travelled and we will review this when they arrive.

... All three are well and are pleasing at home. The pick of the three would be BILL CODY who showed a good attitude to just get beaten last time out at Newcastle, and we hope he can build on that today.

We had a slightly frustrating day of near misses yesterday, with two seconds (one by a pixel in the photo), one third and one fourth. But we are obviously pleased the horses are all in good form!
Today CHOSEN WORLD runs in the 8:05 at Chelmsford under P J McDonald. We are hoping he will build on his pleasing run last time where he was slow out of the stalls, but stayed on strongly.
