Jumpin At The Woodside Description
Jumpin at the Woodside 2, is a vintage dance and music festival held on the May Bank Holiday. Frankie Manning was the inspiration behind the event back in 1995, and he attended every year from 1996 through to 2008 as Star teacher, and friend, sharing his talents and stories of Lindy Hop Dance.
His passing meant a break for Jumpin at the Woodside, it just wasn't the same without him.
We started back up again in 2011 with a different format, but the same passion for dance! ! !
Hence we are now Jumpin at the Woodside 2!
We offer Spectacular Bands and Dj's in the evenings, and Wonderful Teachers holding classes in Jazz Jive, Swing, Shag, Lindy Hop, Balboa and maybe a few other surprises throughout the weekend. Scrumptious food, licensed bar, a bit of vintage shopping!
and FREE CAMPING! !

It has been a week already since JATW 2018 and now it has all been packed away for another year we'd like to send out a massive thank you to all the Bands, Dj's, Teachers, Stallholders, Catering Team and all our Friends who helped us make this years JATW 2018 such a wonderful weekend! There are so many to name, (facebook couldn't cope with such a long post, I tried). We couldn't do it without you! THANK YOU ALL YOU JUMPIN' AT THE WOODSIDERS SEE YOU IN 2019!!
